Soybean Processing Plant
Rate of Pay:  $22.46/hr


Shift: Day shift Monday through Friday.  Call-in work and over time work are required.  Maintenance call-in work is rare, due to a functional predictive maintenance program.

Position Summary: 

The Maintenance Technician position is part of the maintenance department at the ADM Soybean Processing plant in Mankato, MN.  Qualified candidates will perform mechanical repairs to the process equipment.  The candidate will also be qualified to trouble shoot and make repairs to the process control systems, and the electronic instrumentation used in the process.  In addition, the candidate will be taught to use diagnostic testing equipment; such as vibration analysis, ultrasonic analysis, and thermal graphic analysis, to detect and prevent equipment failures.
 
Qualified candidates will have at least a 2-year Technical Degree in an electrical instrumentation and process computer controls related field of study.  Qualifying degrees include curriculum such as Mechatronics or Industrial Controls and Instrumentation.

Job Qualifications:

• Applicant must be able to work in all types of weather, dusty, and noisy environments with the use of Personal Protective Equipment
• Applicant must be able to perform high work
• Applicants must be able to work in confined spaces, such as tanks and process vessels
• Applicants must be able to work on their feet, bend, and kneel most of the shift, and climb ladders and stairs
• Attendance and punctuality are required
• Applicant must be able to work in a ‘team’, as well as work independently in an organized safe manner
