Job Description

Purpose of this Role

Support development of and tracking against Value Stream and Site budget parameters including waste, labor and expenses.  Responsible for establishing rates and conducting the rate review process.   Identification through data analysis and observation of continuous improvement opportunities and validate results.    Provide support for the deployment and coaching of Lean strategies through the Value Streams and Site.

Principal Accountabilities

  • 1-5 years of Industrial Engineering experience

    •Development, tracking and continuous improvement for the Value Stream and Site KPIs that include labor, waste, reliability, and other KPIs.

    •Recommend rate changes (positive and negative) to the value streams based on past performance.  Development, tracking and continuous improvement on rates and throughput.

    •Prepare the site MCPs based on site standards and demonstrated performance.

    •Prepare start-up curves, changeover times, target rates for new activities.

    •Define and deploy leading indicator metrics for Value Streams and Site.

    •Supports management of team development, activities and deliverables for Production Support team.

    •Provide support for training and coaching of Lean Strategies.

    •Support Activity Management process as it relates to the Value Stream and Site.

  • Analyze, identify, recommend, and implement solutions for reducing raw material waste, production inefficiencies, and non-value added activities through Loss Analysis.

    •Lead and facilitate Problem Solving and CI projects

    •Assist in the development of the capital plan for CI related projects to support Value Stream objectives.  Prepare justification for all cost savings related projects.

    •Support site in identifying and coordinating new projects and products. Provide new item costing and line trials

    •Other job duties as required.

Key Experiences

•Candidates for this position should have exposure to manufacturing, industrial engineering and continuous improvement through Lean or related techniques through internships, previous work experience or undergraduate work.

Desired Education

  • An undergraduate degree in engineering or business area with manufacturing internship experience
  • Proficient in Excel - analyzing dat
  • Project Management experience
