Job Accountabilities

This position will be a rotational assignment working with our Production Planning Department in all aspects of the CAPP (Closures, Aerosol and Promotional Packaging) production facilities.  They will be responsible for the following:

  • Daily Reporting- using daily shipments vs month forecast goal- (Short Interval Control data) ; create a dashboard for CAPP leadership to give a view of progress.
  • Daily Reporting- using daily production vs month production goal- (Short Interval Control data) ; create a dashboard for CAPP leadership to give a view of progress.
  • Develop metals scorecard for each business segment- Mill Park, Connellsville, Aerosol, and Promotional Packaging.
  • Create dashboard/report which details tons required vs tonnage allocation by mill working with Metal’s Sourcing.
  • Develop a tool to give a consolidated view of coils on hand by business unit.
  • Develop a tool to provide coil aging for cash flow purposes.
  • Determine current state and document Aerosol, Closures and Promotional Packaging forecast process:
  •                How is forecast developed and supplied by account managers?
  • What tool is used to collect the forecast and create output reports for monthly management S&OP review
  •                How are adjustments made?
  •                How is data uploaded into TM1?
  •                How does can demand data get converted into metal needs by specification?
  •                Develop database to convert sales forecast to metals needs in tons and base boxes.
  • Develop database to convert sales forecast to metals needs for monthly PCR updates.
  •                Develop database tool to determine forward cut, coat, and print monthly sheets/passes.
  •               

Job Requirements

Requirements include:

  • BS or MS degree in Industrial Engineering or related field. 
  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing/process environment
  • Some practical experience with managing projects (equipment installation, upgrades, etc.), both individually and in a team environment
  • A certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, and Master Black Belt) in Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing would be a plus
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Thorough skill sets in all aspects of Microsoft Office are required
  • Must be willing to relocate multiple times
