  • Here at Aviva, we have a very exciting opportunity to join our Risk & Compliance team in Galway as a Regulatory Compliance Incident Analyst.

    You will play a meaningful part in ensuring that we provide excellent service to our customers, and that where an issue arises that it is addressed quickly with a focus on providing the best outcome for our customers. You will ensure that Aviva’s proud tradition of excellent customer service and regulatory compliance is maintained and improved.


    You will work closely with stakeholders across the business and be a central point of contract for all systemic CPC Error and Regulatory Breaches and associated Risk Events.


    This role will suit a self-starter, someone who has a strong understanding of relevant applications and system integrations. You will be a logical thinker with an inquisitive nature who enjoys analysing problems and working to find the appropriate solution. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills.


    You will excel by collaborating with your colleagues. You’ll put yourself in the customer’s shoes and help to build the best possible service. You will enjoy taking personal responsibility for your workload and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.

    Key responsibilities of the role include:

    • Manage all Systemic CPC Error and Regulatory Breaches and associated Risk Events from investigation to closure.

    • Engage with key stakeholders in various teams (IT, Business, Operations) to analyse, investigate and remediate identified CPC Errors and associated risks.

    • Communicate to the business details on open Systemic CPC Errors and Regulatory Breaches and associated Risks. .

    • Support the training team in amending training materials and communicating changes arising.

    • Be a key contact for GCC production incidents resulting in a regulatory breach.

    • Perform robust Root Cause Analysis to identify the true cause of incidents. Work with IT to perform system RCAs and solution finding.

    • Lead and support remedial actions and customer communications necessary for remediation of CPC Errors and associated Risk Events.

    • Engage with 2nd Line Compliance to ensure CPC Errors are identified and managed within regulatory timelines.

    • Report weekly on CPC Errors and associated Risk Events.

    • Provide challenge in a supportive and constructive manner.

    Essential skills and experience required:

    • APA (Personal), CIP or working towards same.

    • Deep understanding of HiPlus, Web, CRIS, PPP, BPS etc.

    • Clear understanding of system integrations, GCC processes and controls.

    • Good knowledge  and understanding of regulatory requirements applying to Intermediaries.

    • Strong communication and influencing skills.

    • Good attention to detail.
