As an Inbound Material Coordinator at Mars you will operate and maintain an efficient inbound material pipeline that supports the plant production schedules. You will work to minimize the cost of supply by reducing losses due to obsolescence, aged inventory and transportation costs involved in delivering the packaging to the plant. Additionally, you will ensure inventories are at optimal levels that balance use of working capital against the risk of disruption to production.

What are we looking for?

• 1 year of experience in purchasing, logistics, or materials planning.
• A sound understanding of the supply chain and manufacturing process.
• Bachelors degree at a minimum.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• You will determine packaging order quantity needs based on combination of production demand forecast, historical usage, pipeline inventory levels.
• Placing orders with suppliers and maintain order status information up to date in our systems.
• Scheduling packaging order releases with suppliers, while following through to ensure timely and complete delivery to sites.
