Fidelity Institutional (FI) is a division of Fidelity Investments that offers clearing and custody services; investment and technology products and solutions; institutional trading products, services, and execution; and a range of insights, expertise, and “world-class” client experience to more than 13,500 financial intermediary firms and institutions. These firms and institutions include registered investment advisors (RIAs), strategic acquirers and professional asset managers, broker-dealers, bank and trust companies, insurance companies, and family offices and wealthy families. 

The Role

The Implementation Project Manager Bank Trust, will ensure the seamless transition of Bank and Trust firms and Family Office clients onto the FI platform. This includes onboarding client relationships, monitoring the new relationships, and managing the overall Implementation process and conversion of assets to FI.  The Project Manager will be responsible for managing cross functional teams during the implementation process and act as a liaison between the client and Fidelity business partners to facilitate the onboarding event.  The individual must be able to work effectively with all levels of management.  The Implementation Project Manager Bank Trust will be expected to manage mid to large-level projects, virtually or onsite, with minimal direction, and may also support larger, more complex clients. 

The Team

The Client Conversion Services (CCS) Project Management team within Client Experience supports the FI business unit by managing the onboarding of RIAs, broker-dealers, banks and trust companies, insurance companies, family offices and wealthy families onto the Fidelity platform. This team is dedicated solely to client onboarding. The Project Management team works closely with Sales and Relationship Management, Product and Technology Specialists, Training Consultants, Deployment Consultants and Client Services. 

The Expertise You Have

Series 7 required for role – Existing Series 7 candidates preferred or obtained within 90 days

Bachelor’s degree in business or finance or equivalent experience.  Advanced degree in business preferred

5 – 8 years in financial services industry in Bank Trust or Trust Account systems.  Including experience in the institutional or high net worth client management or relationship building role

Strong knowledge of the Bank and Trust firms or other Brokerage platforms, RIA and Family Office business segments; understanding of the industry, financial markets, and competitive influences 

Experience in Bank Trust and middle office brokerage functionality.

Experience supporting trust accounting, fee schedules and administrative and investment reviews.

Outstanding organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Organize and conduct project status meetings, including communicating project status to internal management, Fidelity business partners, outside vendors and the client

Lead discussions and engage appropriate business partners or project stakeholders, as needed, for critical path components that impact the event

Outstanding verbal, written communication, and presentation skills

Strong knowledge of Fidelity brokerage policy and procedures. 

Working knowledge of Salesforce, WealthscapeSM, FBSI, XTRAC, FDOT, TrustDesk and Microsoft Office products

Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

Lead mid to large-level projects for new and existing clients with varying degrees of complexity, throughout the conversion and onsite support.

Analyze the procedures, products, and business practices of the client to align with FI policies and procedures and negotiate mutually acceptable solutions and alternatives when necessary

Make recommendations on best practices and technology tool adoption

Work with the client to resolve issues
