Hyperion System Administrator- Decatur, IL
This is an exempt level position.
General
We are looking for a Hyperion system administrator who will perform system administration functions for the Hyperion Consolidations, Planning, and Essbase applications for ADM. The Hyperion Solutions team has broad responsibilities for managing the development, use, and output of the Hyperion applications used globally by the ADM Finance teams.
The areas of responsibility for this role include but are not limited to:
- Design, development, and testing for new functionality or domains
- Administer the settings, rules, and configuration for the Hyperion applications
- Prepare all production environments for monthly release
- Provide user support
- Develop or update reports required by users and approved by the sub-process owner
Specific Areas of Responsibility
- Conduct business requirements analysis with the technical and business teams and write detailed system design specifications
- Plan and perform all needed design, development and testing, including administering user testing
- Prepare and keep current all system administration documentation
- Provide user training for new applications or functionality
- Provide application support to users
- Support and troubleshoot any application functionality or performance issues
- Management of financial master data for global consolidations/planning/referential master data in the data relationship application
- Other responsibilities include process improvement and communicating to applicable stakeholders, ensuring compliance with technology-based internal controls and other governance policies
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Information Technology, or other related field
- Concentration or minor in Information Systems, or business analysis (BA) certification highly preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience with BI (business intelligence) required in a reporting environment such as BO, Essbase, OBIEE, or SAPBW
- 5 or more years’ experience in Accounting or Finance master data operations, in Hyperion consolidations or planning applications, SAP, JDE, Oracle or other top-tier general ledger required
- Experience with JavaScript and PowerShell scripting may be required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Hyperion EPM, OneStream, or large ERP systems required
- Prior experience with cross-functional communication and cooperation, prefer global experience
- Intermediate or better Excel and Access skills (pivots, macros, etc.)
Knowledge and Skills Inventory:
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Experience with business process improvement (e.g., Green Belt) or process mapping
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to professionally represent company policies and procedures, both written and oral
- Ability to problem-solve using available resources, and proactively escalate when additional resources may be required
- Ability to work more than 40 hours per week and to work outside the normal 8-5 work schedule
- Ability to function independently in a deadline-oriented environment
- Ability to provide creative solutions
- Possess strong organizational skills
- Dependable with a strong desire to learn and contribute to team efforts
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, work under time constraints, and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of various ADM processes and internal controls is a plus
