Job Description:

The Hydraulic Technician will support new and current product development of marine hydraulic components and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow engineering test instructions and procedures.
• Conduct/monitor validation tests on marine trim and steering components/systems.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Perform detailed component inspections along with documenting all work.
• Write test reports
• Fabricate/modify test fixtures, test parts and special tools.
• Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and cross functional design groups to resolve issues.
• Provide technical support to Production on new and current products.

Experience and Skills:

• 2+ years minimum experience as a technician, can be in Marine, Automotive or other relevant industries.
• High mechanical aptitude.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Attention to detail.
• PC Skills. Windows based software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to use data acquisition systems to collect and analyze data.
• Technical communication skills.
• Experience with hydraulic components/systems is beneficial.
• Basic machining, welding and fabrication is preferred.
• Boating experience is a plus.
