Summary:

An HR-LDP will have the opportunity to work alongside our top-level Human Resources business leaders influencing and leading change in a meaningful way that impacts the lives of our employees at all levels of the organization. Each individual’s experience is unique; we do not expect any two program participants to have the same experience. This is not a structured rotational program, rather it is an in depth exposure and development plan to various aspects of Human Resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Support high level strategic projects in partnership with VP of Global Talent HR leadership
    • Projects either as an individual contributor or people manager may be in the areas of employee relations, workplace planning, workforce analytics, learning & development, compensation & benefits, talent development, organizational design, etc. 
  • Participate as an active member of the Brunswick Learning Council and partner with Division HR leaders to implement key learning initiatives
  • Present two trend analysis presentation to Brunswick HR Council
  • Partner with Brunswick Strategy team on broad projects that will have significant impact on long-term outlooks and action steps.
  • Develop LSS Continuous Improvement skills and be able to apply them to the HR function to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Build HR acumen in key HR specialties including: Compensation, Employee Relations, Learning and Development, Systems and more.
  • Leads the development and execution of employee engagement activities to drive Employee Opinion Survey score improvements.
  • Recommend and create a business case for project work required
  • Identify opportunities to innovate current processes within the HR function.
  • Act as main point of escalation when project issues arise.
  • Responsible for special projects as assigned

Skills and Experience:

  • MBA or Master’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent area of study
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in Human Resources or equivalent function
  • Have a desire to build a career in HR in a consumer durable goods or manufacturing environment
  • Display a natural curiosity and intrinsic motivation to deeply engage within the HR function.
  • Have a focus on people: build and maintain strong relationships at all levels within a business while being able to balance the needs and perspectives of diverse stakeholders.
  • Must be tech-savvy and have a digital and data focused mindset.
  • Have the ability to think creatively and implement automation
  • Show excellent comprehension of business fundamentals including finance, marketing, operations and strategy.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast-paced work environment with the ability and desire to take risks and challenge the status quo
  • Willingness to go above and beyond job expectations to ensure projects are of the highest quality and completed on time.
  • Strong drive to develop innovative solutions
  • Have strong decision making, organizational and creative problem solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Desire to relocate in the future for growth opportunities.
