Role Overview:

In this position, you will perform a variety of human resources services for the WTP project, which requires broad knowledge of human resources principles and practices in compliance with applicable laws and government regulations. You will function as the human resources generalist for all assigned departments, and report to the Project HR Operations Manager.

This position is a full-time role that offers part-time telework in the Richland, Washington project office. Relocation is available if applicable.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing a variety of HR services such as staffing/recruitment, relocation guidance, compensation and performance management administration, employee record processing, new employee orientation, and reporting/metrics for assigned departments.
  • Serving as the main HR point of contact for project department managers and general employee population within the departments assigned.
  • Advising and implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs for assigned departments.
  • Monitoring and evaluating HR programs and recommending changes when necessary for assigned project department leaders.
  • Collecting and preparing data for project reports to support and track project goals.
  • Coordinate Leave of Absence (LOA) and accommodations tracking.
  • Participating in the process and ensuring resolution of employee relations, compliance requirements, in partnership with the employee relations specialist, on all issues within the departments assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field with a minimum of 3 years of HR experience or 9 years of overall HR experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in multiple HR disciplines (compensation, employee relations, learning & development, staffing, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford Site.
  • Possess the right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Prior human resource generalist experience.
  • Prior experience in interpretation and implementation of human resource policies.
  • Knowledge of legal requirements affecting human Resources administration.
  • Experience and demonstrated skill in conducting research, investigating alternative solutions, and outlining action to be performed.
  • Skilled in the preparation and presentation of oral and written reports.
  • Strong organization and analytical skill.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • SPHR, PHR, or SHRM-CP certification.
  • Experience with HR policies within U.S. Government company operations.    #LI-CC1
