Job Description

As a senior/lead human resources consultant, you’ll support other Progressive professionals while encouraging a high-performance culture. You'll focus on our people, supporting our Claims business in coaching, developing, and other exciting initiatives. As a key member of our HR organization, you’ll play a critical role maintaining our environment of inclusivity for all employees. In addition, this is an opportunity to join a team whose goal is to proactively build relationships, collaborate, and continue making Progressive a great place to work. 

This position will provide HR support for field Claims locations across Ohio and West Virginia. It’s expected that regular travel throughout office locations in Ohio and West Virginia will resume once we return to working in the office. 

Must-have qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of four years related work experience in Human Resources or business operations that includes leading people or cross functional teams
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of six years related work experience in Human Resources or business operations that includes leading people or cross functional teams

Preferred skills

  • Understands and applies knowledge and experience of HR procedures, principles and concept, along with federal and state regulations governing employment – PHR/SPHR or SHRM CP/SCP certification a plus
  • Ability to solve problems and effectively influence others to consider alternative points of view, leveraging data as appropriate
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Establishes trust, collaboration, and influence with employees and leaders at varying levels
  • Computer proficiency with ability to prepare reports and conduct presentations

Compensation 

  • $65,000 - $104,900/year depending on position level and experience
  • Gainshare bonus up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
