Job Description
The Human Resources Analytics and Compliance Director oversees the management of the North American HRIS team and the support, analysis, reporting, design and implementation of systems that comprise Gordon Food Service’s HR information system portfolio, including systems supporting core employee data, recruitment, performance management, succession planning, learning management, compensation, benefits, HR process automation, analytics and employee self-service.
Works closely with HR leadership and IS support teams to develop and drive HR information delivery and analysis strategy, based on business need, using dashboards and other report delivery methods.
Responsible for administration of US Human Resource compliance and the management of the compliance department. Oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of HR compliance programs.
This position will be based out of our Wyoming, Michigan location.
Essential Functions:
- Proactively researches and recommends new or modified Human Resource information systems (HRIS) and processes in support of human resource administration and projects.
- Manages and coordinates system changes, rollouts and training across divisions including the identification, creation, distribution and ongoing management of communication, training, education and skills development.
- Creates and manages dashboards and other information delivery services for internal customers. Trains customers in report receipt, use and analysis.
- Partners with HR leadership to help create short and long-term information management plans. Provides oversight and analytics in support of Talent Acquisition, DEI and legal compliance programs and initiatives.
- Manages HR systems security by determining and approving appropriate data security based on user role.
- Primary contact for the Human Resources function, responding to compliance, data analysis and reporting. Acts as a liaison between Human Resources, Information Systems (IS) and Finance in relation to data accuracy and reporting consistency.
- Evaluates, develops and implements compliance programs to protect and decrease organizational risk.
- Oversees and implements communication, and compliance tracking in accordance with Federal, State and Municipal law.
- Provides planning and leadership on the execution of EEOC and OFCCP compliance through appropriate Affirmative Action Plans (AAPs), training, communication, adverse impact analysis, annual government reporting, and all other federal contractor regulations.
- Provides process oversight for the response to and execution of regulatory audits by reviewing the requests and submissions with the support of the Chief People Officer and internal/external counsel.
- Develops and implements internal audit procedures related to government regulations. Ensures appropriate communication, monitoring, reporting and compliance with all associated regulations.
- Oversees the vendor strategy by reviewing cost, maintaining relationships, reviewing system capabilities, procuring and evaluation of vendor services.
- Develops and executes training programs to increase business unit operational effectiveness in relocation, immigration, pre-employment testing, and regulatory compliance.
- Manages HR projects within the Compliance and HRIS teams ensuring timely execution, analyzing divisional needs, preparing project plans, and implementing accordingly.
- Interviews, hires, trains, and retains staff. Conducts performance monitoring of staff, initiates follow through with disciplinary action and termination in consultation with Human Resources when appropriate for the department. Mentors, motivates, and develops staff and serves as a role model and resource to them.
- Builds and maintains strong, functional HRIS and Compliance teams through effective recruiting, training, coaching, team building and succession planning. Assesses each team member’s skills, and the skill levels necessary to achieve work objectives, and works with team members to prepare development plans.
- Manages the Compliance and HRIS department budgets.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Our leading candidate will have:
- Ten years of professional experience in Human Resources related disciplines, including but not limited to experience and understanding of HR data analytics, HR Systems and Compliance.
- Five years of management or leadership experience.
- A strong data analytics background with broad knowledge of human resource systems and compliance.
- Demonstrated experience leading and building high-performing teams and relationships.
- Prior experience with Workday and Prism a plus.
