ABOUT YOUR ROLE
The HR Manager for the U.S. Commercial team is a results-oriented change leader supporting the RBIS Apparel business. This role is responsible for leading the field HR activities in the U.S. region for the Global Commercial team. This role is a critical partner and “right hand†to the Sr. HR Manager, Global Commercial. This role is the HR business partner to Commercial managers in the U.S. The HR Manager initiates and implements processes and strategies to facilitate accomplishment of business objectives. This leader will help build capability, talent, structure, and culture to best support the Commercial organization. This individual will be a contributing team member of the RBIS U.S. HR team.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Provide direct partnership to Commercial managers in the U.S. and the Sr. HR Manager to meet strategic business needs and to support strategic workforce plans
- Serve as the point of contact to key Commercial business leaders on HR activities and organizational development strategies and tactics
- Partner closely with HR peers across the organization to implement global Commercial projects
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve team and individual effectiveness and relationships in the business, seeking resources internally and externally to resolve any challenges
- Provide guidance on the appropriate application of company policies and procedures
- Develop effective communication plans, including organizational changes, announcements, and footprint changes, as required
- Ensure adherence to appropriate recruitment protocol and procedures, including involvement of HR in the interview process
- Act as a change-agent by incorporating corporate initiatives, and promoting best practices and values in the U.S. team
- Assist in coordinating local training, and assess and drive individual, team, supervisory, and functional development training, as needed
- Proactively communicate potential issues to Sr. HR Manager and present possible solutions and root cause analysis
- Apply and support total rewards policies and procedures as appropriate; request approval for any deviations from programs
- Ensure employee concerns and questions are answered or redirected to the appropriate source of information, such as the HR and IT portal, corporate benefits, or our internal employee website
- Implement employee engagement initiatives designed to fit strategic workforce plans and improve upon employee engagement survey results
- Provide guidance on and ensure the global people management systems are utilized effectively for recordkeeping, development, and planning purposes
- Support local and global DE&I initiatives
Qualifications
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
- Six (6) years of HR leadership experience or similar
- Excellent influencing skills
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and multitask efficiently
- Experience navigating a global organization preferred
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision making, and project management skills
- Experience in building and sustaining the organization’s talent through recruitment, assessment, training and development and succession planning
- Proven track record in providing strong leadership in human resource practices
- Ability to communicate effectively and honestly with employees at all levels within the organization
- Ability to understand overall strategy and clearly translate into business initiatives
- Ability to delegate effectively and leverage the support of the global HR network, as appropriate
- Coaching, facilitating, and training skills
- Bias for action and preference to work in high-speed environments
- Capable of utilizing the Google Suite, such as Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Mail, Calendar, & more
- Ability to operate both as a business partner and employee advocate
- Ability to function independently or as a fully cooperative team member
- HR certifications beneficial, but not required
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required
