Amazon Logistics UK HR Optimisation team seeks a passionate Labour Planning Analyst to identify strategic initiatives that help ensure we have labour resource in the right place at the right time. Successful candidates will have strong analytical skills, can prioritize well, communicate clearly and have a consistent track record of delivery. The candidate must have the experience and ability to create and present a roadmap that aligns with HR, Workforce Staffing and Operation teams strategic objectives. It is crucial this individual is able to influence and gain the buy-in of others on a large scale, handle ambiguity and thrive in a fast paced environment. This role will act as the single threaded leader for labour planning inputs and analysis on behalf of the HR function, partnering cross-functionally and across other business lanes within Amazon. This individual should be able to hit the ground running by analysing root causes, determining and implementing long-term solutions, and supporting teams with advanced analytical, mathematical, quantitative and qualitative capabilities. You must be comfortable designing and building processes from scratch as this role is a newly created role to respond to the rapidly changing UK labour market. Key responsibilities
· Consolidation and production of weekly labour market metrics to support wider cross-functional decision making
· Being the HR SME on weekly labour calls, influencing inputs through data trends with the ability to communicate complex problems in simple terms to key cross functional stakeholders
· Analysing how key labour levers such as time off or extra time are deployed across the network, making recommendations to improve cost and productivity
· Key project team member supporting decisions on mix of workforce (contract driven) to help achieve longer-term business strategy
· HR thought leader as an SME to input into the evolution of labour planning processes that require HR metric inputs (E.g. absence, attrition, holiday)
· Partner on critical growth projects providing insights and evaluation that help ‘think big’
· Conduct deep dive investigations into business problems, identifying potential opportunities and providing meaningful insight to progress strategic initiatives
· Write white papers to outline key plans and contribute to regular communication cadence e.g. WBR, MBRs
· Influencing through data insights WW Global, EU, cross-functional and cross-business line stakeholders up to VP level
· Working with a high number of data sources, dashboards, reporting tools and software systems
· Coaching, training of HR and Operations customers for HR labour planning related mechanisms

Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in mathematics, computer science, finance, engineering or a similar quantitative field
· Passion for people and people metrics with professional interest in technology and tools that support the people agenda
· Minimum (5) years of robust analytical experience (data mining/large complex problems for example
· Advanced analytical and quantitative skills; advanced knowledge of SQL and Excel necessary in order to combine disparate data sets to answer business questions
· Proven track record in using hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, make recommendations and drive actions
· Ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment; ability to re-prioritize on a regular basis in order to remain current with business needs
· Self-motivated; ability to handle multiple responsibilities under limited supervision
· Ability to present technical results appropriately given the audience
· Ability to influence Senior Operational leaders in a positive and professional manner
· People who are naturally customer obsessed, thriving on the opportunity to engage with varied stakeholders and have a natural interest in the people metrics space
· Advanced problem solving skills, using innovative or external solutions where necessary with a ‘think big’ mind-set
· Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to craft comprehensive analyses, persuade others and develop credibility and trust
Preferred Qualifications
· Master’s Degree (or other advanced degrees) with additional experience preferred / HR professional qualification
· Previous labour planning or HR people planning roles
· Experience with R or Python
· Data science competencies ML,NLP
· Experience in AWS tools e.g. Redshift, S3, Athena, QuickSight etc.
· Experience in developing complex reporting solutions (in BI suites e.g. Tableau, Cognos, Power BI, etc.)
