We are currently seeking passionate and curious individuals to proactively drive the people agenda in the role of HR Consultant on a fixed term basis. This role can be carried out on a part time or full time basis.

As a HR Consultant focused on business change, your structured and highly organised approach to project management will determine the quality of the solution. Your focus on the employee experience will be of paramount importance and you should openly advocate this as you build out delivery plans. Your ability to communicate clearly and effectively across a wide range of stakeholder groups will ensure that your stakeholders are aligned and supportive of your approach. This role will allow you to grow your expertise in HR, delivering in a dynamic environment whilst being part of a supportive team with collective expertise across all HR which we use to coach each other and grow together as a result.

In order to accomplish these outcomes, it is expected that the HR Consultant will:

  • Manage project delivery proactively balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget and risks where applicable;
  • Run project co-ordination across multiple teams whilst holding teams accountable to delivery;
  • Effectively handle stakeholder relationships and drive high engagement across this community;
  • Be responsible for effective project controls and procedures;
  • Set high expectations across delivery teams with a crystal clear focus on employee experience;
  • Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to the relevant governance forum and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization;
  • Be able to effectively communicate and demonstrate how HR programmes and initiatives connect the people priorities and the business goals.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Must have experience in a complex matrixed and/or regulated organisation;
  • Demonstrable experience in transformation/change role is essential;
  • Excellent organisation skills coupled with project management experience;
  • Sophisticated partner management experience required;
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to establish trust and credibility;
  • Flexibility, tenacity and resilience to deal with business demands;
  • Calm under pressure, ability to re-prioritise and deliver in very short timescales;
  • Strict adherence to the requirements of confidentiality - discretion and integrity essential;
  • Role model and ambassador for HSBC behaviours, and the ability to deal assertively but sensitively with internal and external customers across a matrix environment;
  • Relevant project management qualifications or CIPD accreditation is desirable but not crucial.

This base location for this role is Birmingham. The location can be flexible however when we return back to the office we connect face to face on a quarterly basis. Travel will also be required to other HSBC sites dependent on project delivery.
