About the Role
To be the main HR interface for the client group, line management and leadership providing full HR support, building lasting effective relationships, gaining maintaining trust, confidence and respect on all HR related matters. This involves being familiar with the HR policies and practices of the Company and UK employment legislation creating business value, by providing high quality and consistent advice and guidance. This will involve:
Acting as a credible business partner with leaders to develop projects, programmes and concepts to support their business, which may include; new business and bids, TUPE, redundancy programmes, organisational design and development, change management, specific case management and being the expert on hand to provide guidance and advice in the execution.
Ensuring that stakeholders are kept updated and issues are identified early, solutions are developed and implemented with minimal direction. This will include driving the performance management, salary planning, awards and promotion cycles.
Serving as the partner to provide advice, guidance and support on complex issues such as employee relations matters including leading the resolution of disciplinary, grievance and performance management issues. Working solutions with minimal supervision and pulling on expert knowledge and expertise to resolve.
Providing advice and guidance on compensation and benefits issues. This includes developing and implementing the promotion and awards plan working with the budgets and guidelines set.
Providing advice and guidance on recruitment issues and assist with the appointment of management positions. Contribute to the orientation process for employees and new managers.
Working in partnership with senior management and their reporting managers and engaging in the business rhythm. Participating in and contributing to, key meetings and presentations in order to understand the business and partnering to add value.
Taking the lead in further developing the culture of the company, driving the company values, Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives and Diversity and Inclusion into daily practice. This includes supporting the employee survey activity.
Work as an SME across the team in various projects.
Support One HR across the teams, deputising and supporting colleagues and the Head of HR as and when required. RHR
Required skills, qualifications and experience
All rounded HR professional that is able to support the delivery of the Human Capital Strategy.
Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within a large blue chip organisation.
Experience of fast-paced working environments
Ability to be flexible and work under pressure
Ability and knowledge to contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards.
Ambitious, keen to progress and able to demonstrate a proven track record of leading, influencing others, change management and enabling successful delivery of people interventions which improved business performance.
Thorough understanding of UK employment law and have demonstrable experience in handling employee relations issues.
Knowledge of Employment law.
Working knowledge and experience of TUPE.
Demonstrated capability of building effective relationships and facilitating solutions across multiple stakeholders, in the UK and Internationally.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with people of all levels.
Have a strong work ethic and experience of fast-paced and demanding working environments and tight deadlines.
Confident self-starter, enthusiastic and committed, organised and flexible.
Ability to prioritise issues and foresee and manage potential conflicts.
Excellent computer literacy skills and HR database knowledge.
Able to confidently analyse data, identify key trends and communicate metrics and data to the business.
A team player, able to work at all levels, within a matrix organisation across international boundaries.
CIPD Qualified / Post grad qualification in Human Resource Management. Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialised training commensurate with assignment.
