Job Summary:

Food & Beverage Stewards are responsible for overall cleanliness of our resort restaurants kitchen areas, buffet stations and Guest areas. Stewards may work indoors or outdoors, cleaning all kitchen equipment, tools and supplies as well as all dishes, glasses, and equipment required to serve our Guests. Stewards work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with other kitchen team members or inside Guest dining areas. This role will provide a great opportunity as an entry level position for someone who is interested in a Culinary Career

The starting pay rate for Food & Beverage Steward/Dishwasher is $16.65

$1,000 New Hire Bonus Hotel Dishwasher/Steward

$1000 Hiring Bonus (First payment after 90 days = $250 and Second payment after 150 days = $750)

To be eligible for the sign-on bonus, cast members must be in the position continuously for at least 90 days after hire and be employed by The Walt Disney Company at time of payment. A cast member is hired after the successful completion of Disney Traditions or one full day of employment. To be eligible for an incentive bonus after 150 days, cast members must remain employed in the position continuously for at least 150 days and be employed by The Walt Disney Company at the time of payment. Payments will be made approximately two weeks after the 90 and 150-day milestones, respectively. Bonus payments are subject to applicable taxes and other legal withholding. Disputes concerning eligibility to a bonus payment shall be resolved by Disneyland Recruitment in its sole and absolute discretion. The incentives offered herein are subject to change at any time, with or without notice. Cast Members hired prior to December 12, 2021 or after April 02, 2022 will not be eligible for an incentive award.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for working with large dish machines- loading and unloading dishware, glassware and silverware
  • Responsible for manually scraping plates, utensils and other dishware used in restaurants prior to washing
  • Responsible for manually scrubbing large pots and pans at a pot sink
  • Sort pots, pans, dishes, glassware, flatware and utensils and restock into designated locations
  • Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the area by sweeping, mopping and scrubbing kitchen floors, cleaning floor drains, coolers and freezers and washing and replacing all trash cans
  • Responsible for emptying trash and recyclables appropriately including removing all cardboard boxes and placing in appropriate recycle area
  • May clean kitchen counters and walls
  • May polish items such as silver and flatware
  • Monitor water cleanliness in the pot sink and in the dish machines
  • Performs deep cleaning according to deep cleaning schedule or as needed
  • Follow proper sanitation and HACCP procedures
  • Responsible for ensuring chemical storage areas are neat and orderly
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of back dock
  • May clean and sanitize areas involving human waste products
  • Cleaning inside all hot boxes
  • Clean and polish all large kitchen equipment (i.e. ovens, stove tops, counters, sinks, food warmers)
  • Remove dirty towels
  • Cleaning exhaust systems and surroundings

Basic Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience
  • Previous experience in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Previous experience working independently with little or no supervision
  • Can complete repetitious tasks with minimal supervision
  • Full Time Cast Member are required to be fully available 7 days a week
  • Cast Members must be available to work all peak seasons and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous dishwashing experience
  • Previous experience in a fast pace, high volume restaurant

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY

Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
