We’re currently recruiting a Home Delivery Assistant to join our home delivery team in picking, packing and delivering orders for our customers is an important role and you will ensure all of our products reach our customers in the best condition possible.

Key Responsibilities;

• Respond promptly to the new order alarm and accept the order.
• Pick all of the required products from the store using the order receipt
• Scan all of the products and complete the till process
• Manage the substitution process where products are not available and inform the customer
• Pack the customer order carefully to avoid damage
• Ensure the order is loaded safely onto the delivery van
• Full responsibility for the safe and effective delivery of goods to our customer’s homes
• Ensure vehicle is in a road worthy condition, and ensure maintenance checks are carried out
• Ensure all activities undertaken are in compliance with policy and procedures
• General cleaning of the store to deliver a clean and safe environment for our customers to shop in
• Participate in Store community activities as required
• When you aren’t supporting home delivery orders, you'll be helping in the store, on the checkouts, stocking shelves and generally supporting your team where needed

Key Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• Previous experience in either a retail or driving role would be an advantage, however not essential as full training is given
• You’ll need to be at least 18 years of age and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 3 years
• Courteous and helpful
• Good communication skills and the desire to give our customers an enjoyable shopping experience
• Able to comply with defined process and procedures
• Genuine enthusiasm for customer service
• Flexibility and positive attitude
