Salary: £19,512.38 per annum (pro-rata)

Location: Home based for the duration of the contract

Hours: Full-Time - 39.5 hours per week, between 9am - 5.30pm Mon to Fri, 9am - 5pm Saturday & Sunday

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with and represent one of Britain’s leading heritage and conservation charities. National Trusts cause is to protect our heritage, nature, wildlife, and landscapes for everyone forever.

National Trust Supporters are more than customers and you will be helping them with a range of member and supporter queries via telephone and via email on behalf of the National Trust. We’ll train you to deliver a service that is consistent, confident, friendly and reliable so that each of the supporters you engage with feel valued, understood and listened to.

You’ll join a team where supporter satisfaction is celebrated, and you will receive recognition as you progress. To help you understand what National trust is all about, you will receive free access for you and your family, so you can visit National Trust places at your leisure, to see what it feels like to be a supporter of this amazing charity, helping you to engage with members and supporters when they contact you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working in our virtual contact centre, receiving queries and questions from National Trust members and supporters and volunteers
  • Take responsibility for every encounter in a warm and friendly way
  • Delivering a service which makes our supporters and members feel valued
  • Support to create a culture of quality
  • Help to create lasting memories

  • Confidence and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively and actively listen
  • Be enthusiastic in sharing not telling
  • Have engaging conversations with our members and supporters  
  • An ability to learn new skills quickly including adopting new processes and technology
  • An ability to think on your feet and adapt to different situations
  • An active listener, who can be empathetic, show patience and adapt their behaviours to suit different callers
  • Someone who can deliver exceptional service, every time for every one
  • The ability to build on product knowledge and share this with members and supporters
  • A quiet and private space to work from at home with strong wifi connection
