Summary

Leader of a small team with responsibility for a number of avenues of work on a rotational basis. Areas include Account Management, Mobile Communications and Records Management. The candidate will liaise with all areas of the Head Office including Ministerial and Senior Management levels.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week and requires attendance in Main Building.

Job description

The Information Support Officer (ISO) post supports the HOCS IS IM Single iHub, and is a key member of the overall team charged with good management and exploitation of information within the organisation. As one of 6 x ISOs, you will advise the C2 IS IM-iHub Manager and Information Manager (IMgr) on information related matters, and execute their policies. The ISO may also be responsible for the maintenance of the registered files and other records in support of the IMgr. The ISO is supported by, and has Line Management Responsibility to, 3 x HOCS iHub Information Support Administrators (ISA).

Responsibilities

The ISO will be responsible for:

•Management of iHub staff.

•Executing the Unit/Business Unit Information Management Plans.

•Management of all Information Administration, and all other activities of the iHub.

•Support to the C2 iHUB Mgr and Information Mgr in all aspects of their responsibilities.

•Where delegated by the C2 iHUB Mgr managing records in accordance with JSP 441

•Development of iHub staff skills, both in generic Information Management and in the specific applications and tools used within the unit.

In addition, specific responsibilities are split between the 6 x ISOs and you may be involved in:

•Advise on the effective use of IT available, both hardware (Desktop & laptops) and software applications.

•Directing and managing Team Site activities for HOCS business units and sites within the iHub.

•Dealing with account management requests and support to Business Units.
