This role will focus on helping CVS Health identify and assess strategies to realize value in our health plan partnerships and achieve its mission of helping patients on their path to better health. As an Analytics Associate, you will work with a high-energy team that is motivated by the opportunity to drive better health outcomes for our patients and realize financial results for CVS Health. We want to uncover new opportunities for our health plan partnerships, develop innovative strategies to drive results and then operationalize these strategies across our ~10,000 pharmacies, ~1,000 Minute Clinic locations and other enterprise assets (e.g., CVS Caremark, specialty, Coram). Your Typical Day Here Could Include:
• Independently designing and conducting a complex analysis (e.g. addressing multiple variables and dependencies) using large and sometimes messy data sets
• Building out an Excel model to assess the impact of a new offering on patient outcomes and CVS financials
• Pulling information from CVS databases, such as patient lists for a pilot test or population sizes for building a business case
• Building a report for senior leadership to track the results of a health plan partnership – and working to refine and automate the report so insights can be updated and provided regularly
• Reaching out to a pharmacy supervisor to set up a pilot test for a new idea in a set of stores
• Developing recommendations to our senior leadership team based on analytical insights
• Brainstorming with your colleagues to build out a creative approach for a new problem
• Preparing material and presentations in a way that can be easily understood by non-subject matter experts
• Setting up time to meet with colleagues to plan a team development activity or social event

Required Qualifications
• 1.5 to 3 years of experience in a role that involves strategic problem solving and/or new product development (e.g. consulting, with a quant focus)
• 1.5 to 3 years of analytical experience designing and executing complex analyses
• 1.5 to 3 years of experience in MS office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
• 1-3 years of experience conducting analytics using SQL, Tableau or Access

Preferred Qualifications
• Additional database/coding knowledge
• Knowledge and experience working with healthcare data a plus
• Comfort engaging diverse stakeholders, including but not limited to legal, IT, and compliance
• Ability to communicate effectively in a manner that is clear, logical, and consistent
Education
• Bachelors degree required (or 3+ years of relevant work experience – strategic problem solving and/or new product development (e.g. consulting, with a quant focus)
