WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Advanced Research Center (EXPEC ARC) is the upstream oil and gas research and development arm of Saudi Aramco. EXPEC ARC is seeking a Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Professional to support its upstream research and development.
WHAT IS YOUR CHALLENGE?
The professional will be responsible for developing, recommending, and implementing programs and procedures associated with the recognition, measurement, evaluation, and control of potential health and safety hazards associated with high pressure and high temperature hydrocarbon operations. The professional will provide daily industrial hygiene and safety support to programmatic and facility organizations to ensure the protection of workers, compliance with Laboratory HSE requirements, and mission success. The professional will collaborate with the work force in developing solutions to complex HSE problems that require in-depth analysis of work activities and data.
REQUIREMENTS
As a successful candidate, you
Hold a a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Science or Engineering, MS degree is preferred.
Have a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP). An experienced facilitator of qualitative and quantitative risk assessments (e.g., What-If, HAZOP, FMEA, SIL, BowTie, recommended.
Must have a minimum of twelve years of related experience.
Are qualified as a lead investigator in root cause analysis methods like TapRoot® or equivalent.
Have an advanced knowledge, and demonstrated application, of regulatory requirements related to industrial hygiene and safety in a research environment. Have knowledge and experience implementing industrial hygiene/safety-related risk assessments and corrective actions.
Have knowledge and application of techniques and procedures for industrial hygiene exposure assessment (both qualitative and quantitative), to include sampling and sampling techniques/instrumentation, sample analysis, and selection/implementation of controls.
Able to prepare and communicate industrial hygiene/safety technical information to technical and non-technical personnel. Develop, review, and evaluate site-specific safety/health programs and requirements.
Have knowledge and ability to apply the hierarchy of controls to evaluate and eliminate or mitigate hazards while ensuring mission success, make recommendations and improvements.
Can conduct research, investigate alternative solutions, and recommend solutions to industrial hygiene and safety related problems. Represent the organization and laboratory on various internal or external boards and committees.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be required to perform the following:
Perform safety analysis of complex data to identify trends and recommend hazard reduction requirements and actions.
Work independently to develop, maintain and implement HSE programs in the field.
Provide mentoring to junior staff in support of the HSE qualification program.
Write expert-level and complex technical reports based on the interpretation of complex data, observations and current regulations
Able to develop operational performance metrics and meet performance requirements.
Develop, implement and manage the department Health, Safety and Environmental Management System (HSEMS).
Provide technical and organizational support to develop and produce high quality analytical performance reporting mechanisms to support technical teams with continuous improvement efforts.

2. Interviews stage
2.1 LHR Americas preliminary phone/video interview: A member of the Talent Acquisition team from LHR Americas will first schedule a call with you to discuss the details of the position, your interests, and qualifications. Furthermore, your English level will be evaluated at this stage, ONLY native or advanced speakers will approve this evaluation.
If this preliminary phone/video interview is successful your resume will be submitted to our client.
If your preliminary phone/video interview is not successful our Talent Acquisition consultant will inform you.
2.2 Client phone/video interview: This interview will happen only if your resume is approved by our client, we cannot guarantee the time our Client will take to approve your resume, but it should take less than a week.
If your resume is approved a member of the Talent Acquisition Team from our client will schedule a call with you to evaluate your qualifications.
The client interview contains technical questions that help assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field and may include a behavioral evaluation. Be prepared to explain how you approach problems and produce solutions.
If your phone interview is successful, the hiring team will further evaluate your resume, and they will invite you to a video interview when hiring managers are available.
If your resume is not approved, LHR Americas will inform you.
2.3 Video interviews with hiring managers: which may also contain technical questions that help us assess your familiarity with problem-solving in your given field.
3. Conditional Offer
A successful interview may result in a conditional offer of employment.
Conditions for employment include but are not limited to: medical examinations, and permission to secure a visa to work and reside in-country.
4. Relocation process
