We have an amazing opportunity for an RVN looking to move into a Head Nurse role or for an already Head Nurse that would like a new challenge.

We are looking for someone who has strong leadership skills and the desire to manage, mentor and lead a team of RVN's and a PCA or for an experienced, confident nurse looking to take steps into a Head Nurse role.

We have a varied work load and our nurses are asked to play a key role within our practice.

As well as the usual nursing duties, our head nurse will also be responsible for helping to maintain practice standards, clinical governance, the practice standard scheme, nurse clinics, stock and rota management as well as driving practice initiatives.

You will need to hold team meetings and one to ones with your team and be able to work with our Clinical Director on clinical development planning.

We will be looking for a RVN who has the confidence and passion to be able to deliver high quality clinical and client care and to provide a quality experience for our clients and their pets. To give the best possible care to animals.

You will need to have a minimum of 2 years experience as an RVN in a small animal practice.

Previous management experience would be great or you have the desire to move up to take on these responsibilities.

Ability to work well within a team

Ability to handle team matters confidentially and sensitively.

This is a full time role of 40 hours per week worked over a 5 days but Saturday mornings are worked on a rota. No out of hours or on calls.
