Adobe is significantly growing our Sports Marketing partnerships and investment with a goal of reaching new audiences and building relevance for the Adobe brand. The ideal candidate will thoughtfully navigate both marketing and business challenges to achieve our goals.
In 2022 and beyond, Sports Marketing will play an important role delivering awareness and visibility for Adobe, drive customer engagement and relevance, and support growth in our core businesses. We will collaborate with leagues and individual teams to highlight creativity and celebrate customers using Adobe’s enterprise tools to deliver breakthrough customer experience.
Reporting to the Director, Global Brand Marketing, this role will lead Adobe’s global sports marketing strategy and annual sports programs. This includes Adobe’s existing partnerships with MLB, the PGA, and Bay Area sports franchises - the San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, and the Golden State Warriors.
You will work with a cross-functional team to develop programs and sponsorships aligned with Adobe’s overall go-to–market and brand goals. The role will own the execution of the plan in partnership with functional teams within the Global Marketing organization (Creative Studio, Brand Strategy, Social, Paid Media, Research, Comms and more) and our Regions (Americas, EMEA, Japan, and APAC). And, it will lead key agency partners to deliver on strategy and program management.
This position is a combination of strategy, day to day partner management, understanding consumer insights, and creative planning to drive our brand’s growth objectives.
Success in this role is tied directly to the growth in awareness, consideration, and relevance for Adobe’s master brand and core businesses – Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, & Digital Experience.
What you\'ll Do
Define the marketing strategy, customer journey, marketing mix, investment recommendations and marketing plan to achieve Adobe’s Brand Marketing goals and deliverables.
Drive marketing innovation & creativity – this role requires a change mentality and ability to empower multiple teams, partners, and peers.
Partner closely with internal teams (across the marketing, business, and sales organizations) and external agencies to develop and implement brand initiatives.
Have a global approach and partner with our regions to deliver a global strategy and provide program support.
Develop and maintain a measurement framework
Develop credibility and relationships with key internal partners and be seen as the go-to authority.
Potentially lead a Sports Marketing Manager / Project Manager.
Be a core leader on the Brand Campaigns and Partnerships team, driving collaboration with peers, and amplifying the team\'s programs.
What you need to succeed
10-12 years of dynamic marketing career with hands on experience with sports marketing initiatives,
Experience working with/at agencies (sports marketing, advertising, digital, brand) is a plus.
Strategic problem solver with the ability to partner with key sports leagues and teams to deliver creative marketing campaigns through traditional and emerging media channels.
Understanding and experience with programs that deliver executive hospitality and business networking to aid business pipeline
Operational excellence and attention to details.
Ability to influence teams, both directly and indirectly, with a strong balance between creative inspiration and analytical skills and capabilities.
Consistent record of working in highly matrixed environment.
