We are seeking a high-judgment, results-oriented, and experienced global leader who will drive the global Regional Marketing strategy to drive awareness, consideration, and engagement with Amazon Ads international customers. Responsibilities include the development of effective global and regional marketing campaigns and localization programs needed to target advertiser and agency customers at different phases of their journey with Amazon Ads. The goals of this role include developing efficient, scalable, and reliable global processes for localization and translation, building deeper customer relationships, and growing consideration of Amazon Ads solutions. The right candidate will have extensive B2B marketing experience in a global environment, building high-output programs and teams, and working effectively with partners in a heavily matrixed organization. They are an experienced people leader who will hire, develop, and oversee a fast-growing team of marketing and industry (product marketing and vertical marketing) leaders, encouraging them to innovate, prioritize, and think big, while setting the highest bar for quality. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned business and marketing leader who leads by listening, thinks creatively and strategically, dives deep into details, and has a proven track record of leading complex, multi-pronged, and measurable strategies marketing to both internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities
· Set the strategic direction for Regional Marketing that optimizes for long-term success, focusing on customer experience, brand health and engagement, and business growth
· Creates and communicates long-term plans (1-3 yrs.) including forecasting and resource planning/allocation
· Establish an organization-wide localization strategy aimed at achieving greater efficiency and standardization in the localization process
· Represent the global localization and internationalization perspective during project planning and decision-making
· Build relationships with Amazon Ads senior leaders and other stakeholders both within existing and related partnerships and understand the unique challenges and opportunities facing those organizations
· Ensure critical programs remain visible to stakeholders and diving deep, where required, to learn about each stakeholder’s perspectives and challenges, while maintaining a think big vantage point at all times.
· Understands and communicates risks and identifies growth opportunities for the team
· Designs, validates, and implements cross-team best practices; consults with other senior leaders on cross-category priorities
· Identify and set up mechanisms for gathering locale and customer data and insights to inform team direction
· Track, measure, and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and report results to sales and marketing leadership
· Advocate for resources and investments for Regional Marketing
· Willingness to travel up to 40%

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Significant B2B or related marketing experience. Deep understanding of and experience in tech/digital advertising industry
· Strong track record of leading large and complex strategic projects from vision to launch with significant autonomy.
· Proven experience hiring and coaching high-performance marketing teams
· Building scalable, repeatable regional marketing programs that have broad, but targeted reach
· Ability to influence executive decision makers and drive alignment with cross-functional teams including sales, product marketing, marketing operations, industry marketing, finance, PR, and legal
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Strong organizational planning and development skills in ambiguous environments.
· Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
