Job Description

We are looking for a Head of Products to deliver our next generation of digital products for our Operations portfolio globally at the LEGO Group.

Core Responsibilities

- Creating and delivering the overall digital product strategy and vision for our key business areas; Procurement, Omnichannel, Warehouse & fulfilment and Supply Network Planning, ensuring alignment with business objectives and revenue goals globally.

- Building a high performance product management and design team that meets the business needs of the future, and fits with The LEGO Group’s culture and values.

- Driving the development and implementation of the product organisation within an Agile working environment across Operations.

- Assessing current state of (digital) products - identifying ways to optimise the existing portfolio while leading product discovery sprints to find new innovative solutions to current problems and opportunities (in line with business strategy).

- Encouraging teams to be brave and curious by working in new ways and challenging the status quo.

- Define the UX Strategy across the product portfolio. Use insight and establish new research methods to deeply understand internal and external customer motivators, needs and problems.

- Creating the Digital Roadmap for Operations globally across all products and functions, and establishing outcomes and key results (OKRs) to ensure products achieve their objectives.

- Installing a test and learn attitude across teams, so that teams are running experiments to test ideas and hypotheses and collect data that we can use to improve or create new end to end customer experiences (across physical and digital touchpoints).

- Working in partnership with the engineering teams to deliver the product strategy and achieve OKRs.

- Establishing and leading a ‘Community of Practice’ for all people with the aim of defining the standards by which we will operate growing and supporting and our product talent.

- Evangelize product methodologies to all partners bringing them on the digital transformation journey.

- Above all, deliver strong and compelling best-in-class products that take advantage of LEGOs unique brand, product range and deep customer focus.

A key member of the Transformation team, this role will be responsible for defining and delivering global digital product visions and strategies for products in our Operations portfolio.

You will work closely with senior business and technology leaders to create the right culture to enable our product teams to thrive – empowering them by giving them exciting problems to solve and working with business partners to create and agree on success measures (OKRs). Under your leadership, your teams will demonstrate the value that good digital product management brings – the most pressing problems for our users will be solved and business important metrics will be met; the teams will surprise us with their innovative solutions earning them trust from their partners!

You’ll cultivate and develop a high-performance culture and continue to create an environment which is diverse, inclusive and agile. You will find ways to develop the team to reach those standards and encourage a growth mindset to continuously improve. You will set up and lead a Product and Design Community, encouraging people to participate and learn from each other and uniting product people across the LEGO Group. You’ll continue to find ways to develop the wider product community.

The results of your efforts will be clear – you will create incredible user experiences across our channels that will delight our end-users and deliver against the strategic priorities for the business, all while ensuring that the investment required is appropriate for the return!

Do you have what it takes?

- A Master’s degree in a technical subject (computer science or engineering field) is preferred, but not crucial.

- Agile experience or certification.

- Experience building sophisticated, globally dispersed product teams in an Operations context; ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups spanning all organizational levels.

- Global experience is strongly preferred.

- Strong customer focus and ability to understand and translate the voice of the customer into product strategy.

- Experience in driving an IT-focused product organization into a modern customer-centric product- focused organization.

- Hands on experience in an Operations context (ideally both Supply chain and Manufacturing).

- Storytelling / evangelism.

- Ability to build a compelling product strategy & visions, goal setting, value propositions.

- Collaboration experience with senior leadership teams.

- Coaching skills.
