Head of Operations

As the Veredus Head of Operations you will, take responsibility for ensuring the provision of high quality, cost effective and timely business support services across all Veredus business units. These are: Interim Management, Executive Search, Assessment & Development, and Insight.

The focus of activity will be on the following areas, each of which is outlined in more detail below:

• Improvement / Implementation of digital solutions to Veredus systems, automating wherever possible, working in conjunction with the core business lines to provide technical architecture expertise

• resource management of all support staff activity.

• the effective operation of all general office systems and procedures including supporting arrangements for all starters and leavers across the business.

• supporting the smooth delivery of allocated assignments.

• supporting the achievement and success of the business.

• providing direct support staff sources where they are needed in times of surge and demand

• promoting and supporting a culture where diversity is valued and advanced

Job Description:

What you’ll be doing:

  • Identifying the role of support staff in meeting business plan objectives in relation to both business development and delivery.
  • Identification, maintenance, and upgrade of appropriate CRM and WFD tools appropriate to Veredus, including taking the lead in supplier management
  • Sharing expertise and promoting best practice to ensure the team provides a high quality, cost effective and timely service.

Ensuring effective day-to-day resource management of support activity includes:

  • Managing resources, including workloads and leave in liaison with relevant managers, to ensure adequate cover overall.
  • Resolving operational problems in a timely fashion.
  • Ensuring that staff are cross-trained and able to support/cover for each other.
  • Attending meetings as required to advise on appropriate issues.

  • Experience of successfully implementing digital solutions, innovations, and enhancements to recruitment business procedures
  • Leading and managing a team of staff and managing performance.
  • Developing, improving, managing, and following complex administrative systems and procedures.
  • Managing multiple projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders to meet tight deadlines.
  • Leadership skills – able to provide clear direction, support and development and appraise and drive team performance to maximize team contribution to the business.
  • Programme and project management – able to identify operational and resource requirements to drive progress and manage and mitigate risk to meet performance targets and meet deadlines.
  • Organisational skills – ability to plan, manage competing priorities to make efficient use of the time and resources available, deliver and contribute to the improvement of systems, procedures, and ways of working.
