Responsibilities
- Drive native revenue performance for book of business and lead a culture of sales excellence. Drive the consistent implementation and adoption of sales processes, pipeline management, measurement or success KPI’s and sales performance.
- Meet or exceed revenue targets and deliver upon accurate revenue forecasts through effective management of sales team.
- Engage with priority customers as appropriate to help build new relationships in the Native/Display advertising industry and position the Audience Network as a must buy.
- Continually develop industry knowledge and grow professionally. Act as an ambassador and spokesperson for Microsoft in the advertising and media community.
- Develop network of strong relationships with key media industry influencers, customers and partners. Develop and maintain a high-level understanding of the native industry and trends affecting or influencing the marketplace.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Product Marketing and Partner-focused teams to develop overall solution strategy and encourage open communication for client and account team feedback.
- Orchestrate across internal partners to develop complex, industry or vertical-specific solutions, including influencing complex engineering relationships to solve client challenges
- Team development, management and leadership. Foster an inspiring and high-performing sales culture of with a clear vision, great account teaming and collaboration.
- Enrich and evolve our people and capabilities. Attract, grow and retain talent base as #1 organizational asset. Foster and enrich a healthy work environment and ensure line of sight on Microsoft strategies for all employees.
- Maintain a pipeline of top talent and continuously develop high potential talent within the team. Promote hiring best practices which optimize for diversity.
- Drive collaboration across search and display media selling at Microsoft. Build strong and collaborative relationships with Display advertising teams. Execute on strategies which will drive significant joint revenue opportunity from direct advertisers, agencies, and partners.
Qualifications
Job Requirements: Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant Digital Media, Advertising Sales experience including complex business transactions with senior executives, preferably in the native, display, video or programmatic advertising (10+ preferred)
- Minimum 2 years people management experience (4+ preferred)
- Deep media sales experience, strategic thinking, customer obsession, a passion for innovation and best-practice sharing, all while showing they can deliver exceptional results over time.
- Extensive knowledge of digital media across native, display, video and ideally search advertising / Bing Ads; including some combination of Sales, Operations, Service and / or Sales Excellence.
- English Required; Additional Languages favorable
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required for the right candidate
- Proven track record of exceptional performance, measured against revenue, customer satisfaction, and organizational health metrics
- Demonstrated capability to manage and coach high performing sales and/or partner and service in market or virtually
- Relentless focus on the customer experience and driving accountability for execution
- Flexibility to accommodate change and thrive amid ambiguity
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills, ability to scale across all levels of an organization
