The main function of this role is to be responsible for the creation and delivery of the company’s marketing strategy and its execution and success using the full marketing mix to increase sales, develop the Trustmarque brand while managing a team of talented direct reports.

Working closely with the Sales Director, Alliances team, Practice Leads, Services Consultants and Sales teams, the Head of Marketing will support with proposition development and taking any initiatives to market via a team of direct reports.

Job Description:

The main function of this role is to be responsible for the creation and delivery of the company’s marketing strategy and its execution and success using the full marketing mix to increase sales, develop the Trustmarque brand while managing a team of talented direct reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The main responsibilities are detailed below, although the post holder would also be expected to perform any other duties which might reasonably be required by the business.

  • Create and execute against a marketing strategy and plan
  • Ensure the achievement of marketing/communications/public relations mission, goals and financial objectives and that evaluation systems are in place to report progress
  • ROI is key, marketing activity must be relevant and measurable. Campaigns should be aligned to customer challenges and create demonstrable demand for core services and sales pull through and be accountable for its contribution to the business.
  • Work with Alliances and the Practise Leads on aligned campaign propositions that differentiate Trustmarque

LINE MANAGEMENT:

  • Ensure the day to day smooth running of the  marketing team facilitating the personal and professional development of the team
  • Demonstrate good management practice, adherence to company policies and procedures.

MARKETING MANAGEMENT:

Responsible for planning, development and implementation of a marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal.

  • Provide the planning and leadership to the Marketing Department by ensuring that the appropriate structures, systems, competencies and values are developed in order to meet and exceed the goals of the Marketing plan.
  • Manage marketing expenditure ensuring maximum ROI on all activity. Where possible work with the Alliances team to offset marketing expense.
  • Effectively track and analyse marketing ROI, specifically cost per lead, cost per opportunity etc.
  • Proactive management of Suspect and prospect data to convert them into development accounts
  • Production of ‘win-back’ campaigns for dormant customers working closely with sales teams
  • Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and PR program that will enhance Trustmarque’s image and position within the market place.
  • To strengthen the Trustmarque brand/market positioning as an industry thought leader and customer-first consultant. Assure consistent communication of brand image and position both internally and externally.
  • Ensure that Trustmarque regularly conducts relevant market research and coordinate and oversee this activity. Proactively interpret this research in order to develop relevant insights and determine business implications.
  • Support development of the cloud strategy and implement a cloud specific marketing plan
  • Responsible for operational management of marketing resource through the alignment of people and process to deliver to deadlines and allow effective prioritisation. This schedule of work should be published and available to the rest of the business to understand what marketing activities are happening and when.
  • To understand and analyse sell-through reports, ROI analysis and be able to intelligently present said data externally and internally with reference to the competitive landscape and market environment when explaining sales trends.
  • Manage the customer research and satisfaction surveys.
  • Develop the TMS brand, especially in the corporate sector with our key vendors so we are seen as their key channel partner and partner of choice

PROPOSITION ENABLEMENT:

  • Contribute to the development of propositions and propose effective and where relevant vertical specific marketing plans to drive the sales of propositions and core services developed.
     
  • Challenge and contribute to proposition development based on expert knowledge of our verticals and customers through applying market research.
  • Working closely with the Head of Alliances ensure all proposition campaign-related activity on the sales floor is effectively managed and results in an ROI Measurement.
  • Duties within your team may include:
    • Analysing and segmenting customer data.
    • Production of sales materials such as crib sheets, battle cards, objection-handling materials, data sheets etc
    • Production of customer facing collateral such as events, webinars, emails, web content etc
    • Management of leads, cost per lead optimisation and team contribution to the overall business performance
       
  • To attend sales, marketing, technical and management meetings as appropriate to gather campaign data, progress and feedback on effectiveness, and be able to respond accordingly in the event of good or bad performance.
