PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Services organization drives software adoption, ensuring customers implement and run what they buy whilst safeguarding maintenance and subscription. Using our unparalleled expertise, we guide our customers throughout the entire lifecycle to make the benefits of digital transformation a reality, end to end. We offer comprehensive services for every aspect of customers’ software implementation or upgrade and operations, including continuous improvement, quality management, problem resolution, and knowledge transfer.
We strive to further improve our innovative service portfolio and our engagement programs. We put our customers first and aim at enabling them to operate SAP solutions more efficiently and to accelerate time to value when implementing new SAP innovations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Head of Industry Division Retail Industries, Germany (f/m/d) has the P&L responsibility for the Retail Industries within the Services organization in Germany. She/he has the mandate to drive a profitable Services growth agenda targeting the retail industries. With a deep understanding of the customer business agenda / topics and a holistic view on the SAP solutions, she/he develops and executes an industry focused Services and Support strategy, addressing customer needs across plan – build – run related services. As the Consulting Service and Support unit of a software vendor, Services complements the SAP solutions with high quality and innovative consulting services and a customized / standardized offering. The Head of Industry Division Retail Industries leads a team of industry experts, service and support partners and engagement managers.
Specific responsibilities include:
P&L management for the Retail Industry Division; KPIs in terms of profitability push, revenue growth, intelligent services mix and right-shoring, S/4HANA push, Premium Engagement push, Intelligent Enterprise market positioning and execution, reference building and employee satisfaction, productive utilization, etc.
Responsibility to position, sell and deliver a comprehensive Services and Support offering portfolio to the Retail Industries.
Development and roll-out of a market- and customer focused portfolio strategy related to Retail Industry in alignment with the overall Services portfolio of SAP Germany.
Introduce new service offerings and integrated services delivery models for Retail Industries.
Team leadership, motivation and development to execute the SAP Services strategy.
Support of the account teams with regards to the development of existing and new customers. Creation and closing of new business development opportunities. Broaden customer-for-life basis.
Personal contribution at customer presentations, events, speeches and publications.
Development of relationships with partners to achieve an integrated and aligned approach balancing between SAP- and partner-agenda.
Roll-out of methodologies, processes and tools in the Retail Industry Division (i.e. project management).
Contribute to the overall strategy of SAP Services as a Member of the Services Management team in Germany.
Close cooperation with the License Sales organization in Retail Industries as well as the Regional and Global Industry teams.
Sustainable contribution to the performance and development of SAP’s business with the Retail Industries.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
The Head of Industry Division Retail Industries, Germany (f/m/d) will be a market-oriented Services manager with excellent leadership skills and progressive experience of managing a growth agenda of a professional services business in an enterprise software or consulting company with sales/pre-sales experience. More specifically, she/he will have the following experience:
Solid experience of running a professional services organization, serving all industry segments or at least one industry among Retail Industries.
P&L management and sales experience for a Services business.
SAP Consulting and SAP solutions background with a track record of championing ideas around new service offerings.
Demonstrated a strong commitment to customer service and instilling those values within an organization.
Track record in engaging business value through effective customer engagement.
Be a solid business development leader with a background in senior level networking.
Outstanding organizational and people leadership skills. A leader that builds through teamwork, a motivator and integrator.
Practices a disciplined process for developing talent on an ongoing basis.
Excellent negotiation capabilities; well familiar in negotiating with customers, prospects and partners.
Valued counterpart in the leadership team.
Strong analytical, conceptual and methodological knowledge and capabilities.
Entrepreneurial spirit and behavior.
High energy and agility.
Excellent organization skills and conflict management capabilities.

EDUCATION
Degree caliber; fluent in English in addition to German on a mother tongue level
