Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as a Head of HR Consultants, Benefits, Wellbeing and Global Mobility, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

Role Purpose

This role will be responsible for managing strategic change projects and team strategy for the Wellbeing, Benefits, Share Plans and Global Mobility teams (the team). The Head of Human Resources (HR) Consulting, Group Benefits, Wellbeing and Global Mobility will be reporting to and ultimately accountable to the Group Head of Benefits, Wellbeing, Global Mobility and Share Plans. 

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for large strategic change projects and working closely with the Subject Matter Experts (SME) in the team who are ultimately accountable for the delivery.
  • Ensure the design and development of specialist products are aligned to the overall Group Strategy, drive efficiency and add commercial value through these activities.
  • Provide focus on how the projects align to the HR/ Business Strategy and to the change portfolio across HSBC
  • Plan, organise and manage the network of related activities and resources that deliver the successful completion of change projects.
  • Use personal judgment and experience to shape change proposals; demonstrating an understanding of internal and external best practice.
  • Access, mobilise and deploy specialist and other resources to deliver technical expertise to the business
  • Deliver the team strategy including team governance, AOP planning & budgets, Target Operation Plan i.e. offshoring, vendor management, risk management
  • Understand market and best in class practice whilst being connected to external market developments and trends
 

Qualifications

 

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Previous experience in Change Management, Consulting Agility, Business Impact, Relationship & Consultancy or Functional Expertise                             
  • Experienced leader who challenges the status quo
  • Knowledge of Reward/Benefits practices in global organisations
  • Proven track record of successfully leading both design and implementation of complex reward/HR initiatives and projects
  • Ability to navigate complex matrix organisational structures across different cultures
  • Strong communication skills, confident and ability to work at all levels within a global business environment
  • Good understanding of organisation design and development principles, tools and methodologies.
  • Thorough understanding of resourcing diversity & inclusion and planning methodology and ability to apply this to anticipate and prioritise demand
  • Holds a degree or equivalent professional qualification
