YourRole & Key Responsibilities

Your Role:

As E commerce Channel Controller, you willlead Elida Beauty E commerce Strategy in UK&Ito more than double our business in the channelas well asbe the Senior Customer account manager for the AmazonEuropean Business,building a strongworking relationship with the Senior Trading Manager and wider Customer Buying team; developing, agreeing,executingand tracking a Joint Business Plan at a total level which delivers USG, Market Share and Profitability. You will also have responsibility for managing and developing threedirect reports, as well as full P&L responsibility forthe Channel, withregular contact with the Digital Hub, Supply Chain, Internal Category and Brand contactsto ensure that you get the assets, support and solutions to deliver our E commercestrategy..You’re a critical thinker, quick learner, and have the intuition to chart the unknown.

Key responsibilities include the following

  • Bethe internal expert on the Channel &lead the Channel strategy for Elida Beauty 

  • Be the internal expert on Amazon &Leadnegotiations with Amazon of JBPs, trade terms, pricing,fundingand counterparts in accordance with the channel strategy 

  • Manage a direct team of 3 people and indirect team through digital hub of a further 2 people. 

  • Support the team to buildstrong &sustainable customer relationships 

  • Managethe relationship aspects of key customer ‘events’,e.g.launching of new products, cost price changes, breaches of trade terms

  • Develop and deliver the customer strategic business plan forthe Elida Beauty Brands, working closely with Category Managers and Brand teamsin line with the Channel Strategy 

  • Develop and deliver an optimal integrated category promotional plan (including selling the plan with the customer)

  • Keep the consumer at the heart of the plan by working collaboratively with our category& insight manager.

  • Manage promotional investments with the customer and ensures all agreements are properly documented and stored

  • Manage the launch of new products with customers,e.g.selling in the new product, providing samplesetc

  • Create and execute NPD launch plans that deliver a seamless connected shopper journey and brilliant brand experiences

  • Manage theChannelP&L forElida Beauty brands– delivering turnover and Business Building Terms targets for specificbrands

  • Manage in-month performance vs forecast for yourbrands, working closely withKAM andCCD Manager

  • Work with the Commercial Executive to manage accruals and pricing accurately and efficiently

  • Ensure customer follows agreed trade terms; where these are breached seek a resolution and monitor implementation

  • S&OP Forecastingresponsibility for the Channel – working with your team to deliver the forecast 

  • Business Planning, sales updates, online media tracking, price claim managementetc) 

  • Delivery of required admin for the customer with support from the Commercial Executive – pricing, rebates, NLF, promo proposals

Your Key Tasks:

External

  • Develop & maintain strong relationships withAmazon, extending network outside of the buying teams as appropriate. 

  • Develop & leadAmazonBusiness Plan implementation. Reviewing and adapting the plan throughout the year tomaximizeresults. 

  • Drive annualJBPnegotiations and promotional planswith Amazon

  • Land key strategic initiativesacross the E commerce Channel 

  • Ensure effective use of trade spendcross allcustomersby evaluating promotional and merchandising activity. 

  • Lead Pricing negotiations across all customers within the channel 

Internal

  • Build, Develop & Manage abest in classE commerce team for the Elida Beauty UKI commercial team 

  • Input into themonthlyS&OP process&summariseChannel performanceversus forecast

  • Work closely with Customer Servicein SC teamto improveforecastingperformancefor the channel – specifically support to develop weekly forecasting process

  • MonitorChannel performanceby tracking customer contribution and market share for major categories/Lead regular monthly senior management channel updates & reporting, supplementing with any additional insights data where relevant

  • Act as active ambassador ofElida Beauty at the customer

Skills and Experience 

Educational Background:

  • Degreelevel education, preferably inbusiness/sales and marketing.  

Must haves:

  • At least 5years of working experience inE commerce Channel, managing E commerce customers directly 

  • Proven track record ofmanaging & delivering against sales & margin targets 

  • Ability to demonstrate people led & purposeful leadership 

  • Excellent relationship building expertise

  • Business development/sales management experience  

  • Negotiation experience(including JBPs)

  • A bias for action & passion to find solutions to problems 

  • A passion for the Beauty & Personal Care World 

Nice to have:

  • Global E commerceChannel strategy / Customer Experience 

  • Marketing /Shopper Marketing Experience

  • Experience working in astart upenvironment

  • Experience in Beauty & Personal Care Industry / working with BPC brands  

Professional Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

Must have: 

  • Functional and technical knowledge

  • E-Comm sales – listing and driving online sales through e-com partners EG: Amazon

  • Sales: Strong communication and negotiation skills 

  • P&L – financial acumen

  • Intermediate ability with MSexcel

  • Language Requirements: English
