ENGIE are recruiting for a Head of Development. This role is part home working and part office based, when working in the office your base will be Hebburn Office, 12 Merchant Court, Monkton Business Park, Hebburn, Tyne & Wear. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- Work with key clients to understand their requirements- Housing and location
- Experience of working within with RP’s, directly or indirectly
- Work alongside Head of Land to progress sites through for identification to contract
- Generate pipeline of opportunities in all key sectors and products
- Monitor all Regional and Local Authority Planning and Housing documentation and OJEU notices for future land / partnership opportunities
- Understanding of Homes England grant requirements
- Project Manage the development process from start to finish so schemes output to the best of our ability
- Set Project Development Programmes and manage their delivery with the Delivery team
- Assist in preparation of land appraisal details (house types, mix etc.)
- Liaise with and appoint Consultants to prepare feasibility design information as required
- Maintain good relationships with other House Builders/Land Agents/Local Authorities/Consultants/Statutory Authorities/Solicitors/ RSL’s/Government agencies
- Delivering CSR across the region in relation to relevant projects

Who are we looking for?
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Flexible – able to work at all levels and at hands on level
- Previous experience of building relationships with clients/customers
- IT skills including Microsoft packages (workable knowledge)
- Experience in L&P
- Essential experience in New Build construction background
- Full clean driving licence
