We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join the Corporate Services Real Estate team in the newly created role of Head of Colleague Experience. The successful candidate will deliver an outstanding employee and workplace experience across HSBC’s global headquarters, 8 Canada Square, London.

The role will focus on the future of work, estate management, business continuity and resolution planning which will be achieved through ensuring operational excellence of all Facility Services, including but not exclusive to Facilities Management, Engineering, Health & Safety & Project Management.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Accountable for the management and ongoing operation of the
  •  HSBC global headquarters, 8 Canada Square (8CS) with strategic leadership, guidance and support from 8CS Accountable Exco Lead and the wider UK Corporate Services (CS) team;
  • Acting as single point of contact for all issues and escalations from business & functional stakeholders related to 8CS;
  • Driving seamless delivery through utilising the internal team of property professionals and external third party partnerships ensuring robust governance and adherence to SLA’ and KPI’s;
  • Being a trusted advisor to the business, innovative and forward thinking;
  • Delivering customer centric solutions that evolve the current Corporate Services offering in line with ongoing HSBC business transformation activities;
  • Working with the wider Corporate Services team to drive innovative ‘end-to-end’ customer focused solutions in 8CS that align with new hybrid working, drive thinking around future purpose and usage of the office;
  • Direct responsibility to deliver CS cost targets, portfolio metrics, sustainability and overall agreed service level targets related to 8CS;
  • Direct ownership and management of UK Corporate Services Operational Risk and Controls.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in Hospitality/Hotel Management/Building Management & creation of customer focused solutions;
  • Experience in delivering an integrated ‘end to end’ solution that creates a seamless employee experience;
  • Knowledge of workplace strategy, change management and design;
  • Excellent planning and project management skills;
  • Strong financial competence and commerciality skills;
  • Strong people leadership skills;
  • Experience promoting a high performance culture that delivers against objectives;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively across matrix management;
  • Demonstrated ability to network and influence stakeholders, and to work positively and collaboratively with outsourced partners;
  • Professional and other role related qualifications preferred.

The base location for this role is 8CS London.
