THE TEAM

The Delivery Solutions team (or DelSol as we like to call them) is a local team in Berlin that keeps growing. They take care of all actions and issues concerning logistics in continental Europe – not only Germany. There are two other teams in Berlin you work closely with, which are Logistics (Operations) and Returns. Those three teams report to the Supply Chain Director Europe.

The office is located in Grossbeeren, just south of Berlin. You can reach us via train (RE4 – 22min from Hauptbahnhof Berlin) or bus (711 / M11 / X11) or by car.

The Role:

The role of the Head of Carrier Management takes responsibility for three main columns: Your team actively manages carriers like DHL, Hermes or UPS for continental Europe. Carrier meetings, business reviews, forecasting and troubleshooting are part of daily business. You onboard new carriers and always look for better solutions for our customers. As we are responsible for whole continental Europe, you have the chance to grow your network and meet many different key players in the European carrier network. Secondly, you partner with ASOS UK to align our strategies and share best practices. You work closely with ASOS Tech. Thirdly you make sure that our 3PL partner provides the required service to ensure a good customer experience and minimize disruption.

Responsibilities

• Managing a team of DelSol Managers and Supply Chain Analysts
• Representing ASOS Germanys interests at ASOS UK
• Working closely with carriers, our 3PL and ASOS UK
• Improving the customer experience
• Exchanging best practices with other ASOS Fulfilment Centres
• Reporting and improving DelSol-related KPIs
• Partnering with all other ASOS departments in Berlin
• Looking for saving potentials
• Onboarding new countries and carriers

We’d love to meet, someone with…

• 5 years’+ experience in carrier management
• Expertise in warehouse operations
• 3 years of leadership experience
• First experiences in 3PL management would be great
• English is a must, German is a plus, any other European language is a benefit
• You are proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Critical thinking with an analytical mindset
• Accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-spaced environment
• Financial awareness
• Team player mindset
• Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels throughout the business
