Job Description
What you’ll be doing:
- Building a network of stakeholders within the business to provide strategic advice as an internal responsible business SME (internal)
- Effective stakeholder engagement (both internal and external) on topics and emerging issues relating to responsible business
- Implementation and management of the pan-Capita Responsible Business strategy on a day-to-day basis
- Policies, Statements, Charters, and coordinating input and contributions from relevant Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), both internal and external
- Coordination and submission of relevant Benchmarks and Indices, with input from relevant internal and external SMEs
- Work closely with Group Director of Responsible Business and Public Affairs on all Reporting and Disclosures in relation to responsible business
- Lead and/or provide support and involvement in key Partnerships and Memberships
- Oversee and lead (with support from relevant stakeholders) Group-level RB Campaigns and Events
- Support / training in the area of responsible business and sustainability
- Provide necessary support and involvement to colleagues leading the Employee Network Groups (ENGs)
- Oversee the running of Citizenship Programmes led by the Head of Responsible Business Programmes and Partnerships
- Support to the Group Director of Responsible Business and Public Affairs in matters of RB Governance and meetings (e.g. Board, ExCo, RB Committee, Risk Committees, etc)
What we’re looking for:
- Strong interpersonal, networking and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust quickly and confident in advising senior leaders in the business
- Strong communicator (written and oral) and presenter
- Ability to navigate a complex organisation, establish networks, with excellent stakeholder management
- Agile, resilient, ability to deliver to tight deadlines
- Leadership and people management skills, with an enthusiastic and confident approach to guiding junior members of the team
- Collaborative and keen to play a contributing role in creative discussions and processes
- Comprehensive understanding of the various aspects of responsible business (ESG and Social Value), sustainability, and CSR, and the emerging external landscape of responsible business
Desirable skills and experience
- Experience working within or closely with in different sectors and industries, public sector, private sector and / or non profit.
