The opportunity.
An exciting opportunity to join global powerhouse – Frasers Group. At a time of investment, growth and change we’re looking for a Group Communications Manager to lead and execute our communication strategy. The Communications Manager’s role is drive brand awareness and bring the brand messaging to life across markets via all communication channels.
The responsibility.
The Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing our company-wide communications strategy. Efficiently coordinate with the Group’s Comms team to ensure regular, timely and relevant flow of information throughout the organisation. Connect and work cross-fascia, drive PR agencies and connect with relevant departments to deliver the business’ mission. This position will play a vital role in driving the communications agenda across our business and to strengthen external reputation through execution of PR campaigns and development of marketing partnerships.
Group
- Work alongside our Senior Communications Manager to develop and execute an effective communications practise across the group
- Work closely with Senior Communications Manager and Junior Communications Manager to ensure consistency across the entire department
- You’ll be (alongside our Senior Manager) the main point of contact across the business and will deliver communication support cross-fascia
- Work alongside Senior Communications Manager and senior stakeholders to advise on crisis management to protect brand image externally and internally
- Work with wider PR team and senior stakeholders to support reactive and consumer press facing statements including, speeches, media interviews and industry panels
- Support execution and development of PR profiling moments
- Act as a key support amongst departments for external facing communications
- Play a crucial role at company activations such as Financial results and lead event management
- Support (Senior Manager) with development of Junior Communications Manager & Communications Assistant
Brands
- Manage with wider team full execution and development of consumer brand moments across the business including, FLANNELS, FLANNELS Beauty, Frasers and House of Fraser
- Manage the group’s press office, including all PR reporting, external relationships, coordination of press visits and overall press driver
- Liaise and manage FLANNELS’ PR agencies, (We are Raven & SEEN)
- Support Junior Communications Manager with 360 store opening messaging across the group
- Develop and improve journalist relationships for PR team
- Support Senior Manager with establishing FLANNELS’ tone of voice and key market identity within media
- Play a vital role in PR events and hospitality cross-fascia
- Lead Communications for Frasers’ and Frasers Groups new business venture
- Manage with marketing channel, talent and influencers for activations and campaigns cross-fascia
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in PR / Communications
- Experience of working in a fast-paced press office
- Experience with supporting Corporate Communications
- Experience with managing agencies is desired
- Developing communications plans including strategy, goals, budget and tactics
- Strong relationships across business, consumer and trade titles
- An in-depth understanding of the fashion industry – luxury fashion or beauty is preferred
- Experience of generating creative ideas, proactively pitching ideas and delivering results
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paces and deadline-orientated environment
- An individual with a fearless approach
- Good presentation skills
- Strong communication skills with excellent use of written English and attention to detail
