Within VIVO, we are currently looking to recruit for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Grounds Maintenance professional. Initially the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the mobilisation of an industry leading Housing and Estates Maintenance contract, before going onto to be our Estates Manager post in-service date for the SE.

The Estates Manager will be responsible for developing and maintained grounds maintenance plans across for all contracted estates. Providing specialist support to local delivery teams throughout the region. Assuring delivery of grounds and tree maintenance by our specialist service providers.

Key Responsbilities

• Ensure grounds maintenance are delivered in accordance with all statutory and mandatory requirements. • Produce and update Grounds Maintenance plans for all estates within the contract. • Produce and update Snow and Ice plans for all estates within the contract. • Work with grounds maintenance provider to ensure sufficient resource is available for the delivery of grounds maintenance, to specification, for the current and upcoming season. • Act as subject matter expert and initial point of escalation for grounds maintenance issues across all estates in contract. • Work with the grounds maintenance provider to produce tree management surveys and assure the delivery of all remedial works. • Produce scope for GiS mapping of the estate and act as Project Manager for the delivery of the GiS mapping programme. • Make recommendations and agree scope changes to our client to improve the “kerb appeal” of their estates. • Identify opportunities to introduce innovation to improve the service delivery. • Assure the delivery of maintenance to “oversized gardens”. • Support with the resolution of any grounds maintenance related complaints. • Develop collaborative working relationship with our client and key stakeholders. • Liaise with the commercial team to ensure accurate collection of delivery cost for grounds maintenance.

What you need to do the role

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of commercial grounds and tree maintenance. • Member of the Royal Horticultural Society or equivalent. • Management level qualification in H&S and Environmental management. • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio • etc.)

Experience â€¢ Must have experience working in management roles within commercial grounds maintenance and landscaping sector. • Production of prices for grounds maintenance and one-off projects.

Knowledge and Skills

• Use of pesticides. • MOD and JSP knowledge is desirable.
