The Ground Support Trainer role is responsible for executing the GSE training program and doing Ground Support Technician work when not involved with training. As a member of the Ground Support Team, this individual contributor role ensures GSE training is conducted and completed to standard, and that ground support equipment is properly maintained.
Key Duties
Supervised to deliver the QX GSE training program which includes; acting as the shop administrator for Cornerstone, coordinating schedules for training, and facilitating GSE training classes as assigned,
Follow established procedures, with additional reach to deliver training to new employees by utilizing the GSE training curriculum and basic warehouse and inventory principles.
Provide input on group and individual training needs based on performance audits and following up on technician work and feedback from the GSLs.
Coordinate GSE manufacturer vendor training for systems, equipment, etc.\Preparing the monthly compliance report and deliver the details to the GSE manager and GSLs.
Maintaining the maintenance library database and analyzing the maintenance programs.
Performing cost effective repair of ground support equipment as needed and maintaining equipment in safe condition.
Supporting station needs by traveling to other cities to troubleshoot and repair equipment, creating and tracking work orders and working with leadership to provide appropriate support and adequate equipment to the field.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills
Required
Minimum of two years as a QX GSE Technician or GSL,
Proven facilitation, presentation, and active listening skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication (e.g., verbal, written, presentation) skills, with the ability to create collaborative relationships and tactfully communicate with others.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to complete forklift, boom Inspection and other required certifications within 12 months of hire and complete the Certified Trainers Course for Cornerstone at the first available opportunity.
Valid driver’s license and can be qualified to operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) and is not currently disqualified from operating a CMV.
Ability to provide a list of violations or the certificate required to qualify as a DOT driver under the provisions of the FMCSA as listed in the 49CFR.
Ability to obtain airport security clearance and must be able to obtain a current DOT medical certificate.
Adequate complement of own tools.
Authorization to enter and exit Canada.
Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds and able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.
Ability to travel to other cities up to 50% of the time.
Ability to work a variety of schedules; nights, weekends, holidays and inclement weather conditions.
High school diploma.
Minimum age of 21
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred
ASE Certification
Technical trade school in repair and maintenance with electric powered vehicle experience.
Experience with “Maintenance Connection†software and maintaining a maintenance publications library.
Experience with warehousing and inventory management.
