As a Graduate Traffic Engineer you will support the delivery of transportation projects across a variety of disciplines and for a range of both public and private sector clients.

You will liaise with team members and managers to ensure projects are delivered in the most timely and efficient manner possible.

Job Description:

What you'll be doing:

• Assisting the Principal and senior Traffic Engineers to deliver concept, preliminary and detailed designs of traffic engineering schemes.
• Preliminary Design and Route Appraisal of Cycle schemes
• Ensure successful technical contributions to projects is provided.
• Work efficiently to contribute to ensuring that successful financial outcomes are achieved or exceeded for those projects worked on by the through sound business and financial understanding.
• Take a proactive approach to the reporting and mitigation of matters which present a risk to the achievement of successful delivery of projects.
• Ensure all projects/services are delivered in accordance with Capita’s BMS system

What we're looking for:

• A degree in relevant area to discipline (Civil/Transport Engineering )
• Proficient in a wide range of IT skills including AutoCAD and Windows
• Knowledge of highways/traffic & transportation procedures
• Commitment to achieve Chartered/IEng status with the CHIT within agreed timescales
• Good report writing skills

Desirable Experience/Skills

• Masters degree in relevant area to discipline
• Knowledge and understanding of Highways/Structures Engineering
• Knowledge of TSRGD and DMRB
