Doubletake are the innovation team for Frasers Group, we work with a number of well-established brands ranging from activewear to high fashion. We are quickly growing as a team therefore now require a Menswear Designer intern to join the creative team who report into Fraser group head of design.

Doubletake Innovation also take part in collaborations with outside brands (most recently Zara, Ovie Soko, Courtney black) therefore along with the day-to-day tech duties this role will lead new exiting opportunities and chances to elevate your skills!

All brands we work with are multiproduct women’s/men’s including all product types ranging from activewear, wovens (e.g., ww woven dress, mw tailoring), skiwear, outerwear, knitwear, homeware, accessories, even some children's wear!

JOB DESCRIPTION

•  Help drive the creative direction of a key in-house brand.
•  Carry out extensive market/trend research relevant to the brand’s DNA and identity.
•  Compile and present in-depth seasonal trend and mood presentations.
•  Proactively source and develop new fabrics/trims/techniques in line with the latest market trends.
•  Design into elevated and trend driven products in a multi category range, while keeping a commercial eye and price point aware mindset throughout.
•  Manage product development process, from initial sample through to bulk production, ensuring a high standard of quality is maintained.
•  Work closely with offshore manufacturing facilities and key suppliers, maintaining critical deadlines and submission dates.
•  Ensure development samples arrive in time for key meetings and presentations.

• Carry out market/trend research

• Help with filing approvals

• Be responsible for fit sample and development rails

• Amend Tech Packs

• Support/take notes in internal presentations/fit sessions

• Help send parcels to factories and suppliers

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong understanding and love of menswear, from both a trend and product aspect. 
• A team player with an open mind to collaborating with other team members.  
• A keen eye for commercial and trend driven design.  
• Excellent understand of CAD based Adobe Suit software.  
• Strong organisation skills
• A professional attitude with strong initiative and proactive mindset. 
• A recent Graduate with a qualification in design
