The Global Scouting role is a key position in our corporate development team. The role includes building and maintaining global networks to enable successful external opportunity scouting in line with System strategic priorities, identifying disruptive start up commercial trends, facilitating assessment and evaluation of the opportunities and capturing / disseminating insights from scouting activities

What You’ll Do for Us: 

• Lead and coordinate the identification and evaluation of viable external solutions (e.g., products, businesses, IP, services); serve as key conduit of external opportunity assessments

• Collaborate with Strategy, Functions, Category and OU leadership to maintain a clear understanding of prioritized opportunity areas where external solutions create value through growth, efficiency or capability building
• Build global network of external partners (academics, research institutes, accelerators, suppliers etc.) and ecosystem to maintain understanding of external opportunities, trends and emerging commercial developments; Collaborate with Bottling partners to develop system wide scouting ecosystem.
• Maintain active and ongoing connections with internal and external networks and disseminate insights, learnings and opportunities to drive connected ecosystem
• Partner with SME’s to assess external assets against prioritized business objectives and facilitate experimentation/implementation of high potential opportunities
• Develop and maintain process for assessing external opportunities, documenting findings from scouting activities and effectively sharing with peers and facilitating future re-use (knowledge management) to limit duplication of efforts across the organization 
• Communication is both internally and externally focused. Internal communication focused on developing network within organization to align on strategic priorities, leverage comparable scouting activities throughout the company and system, and collaborate to orchestrate with external community. External communication focused on establishing and maintaining an external ecosystem that provides access and visibility to external assets / technologies / science / services that will align with current strategic priorities or inform future opportunity areas. High degree of influence, knowledge sharing and collaboration, and representation of The Coca-Cola Company interests.

Qualifications & Requirements:  

– 9-12 years of leadership experience in business development, strategy, entrepreneurship or innovation preferred. 

– Broad exposure to and passion for a wide variety of technologies, development processes, product portfolios, and collaboration models on a global scale. 

– Experience with entrepreneurial ecosystem preferred.
