Role Responsibilities
Bristol Meyers Squibb has committed to a 5-stage Global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to support the mission to discover, develop, and deliver innovative medicines that help patients prevail over serious diseases. The S&OP process at BMS is an enterprise-wide integrated business planning process to manage the delivery of its business goals and commitments over the 3 year operational and 5 year strategic planning horizons. The further development and deployment of the BMS S&OP process will require both implementation of a business transformation program as well as leadership (and ownership) of the global operating model. The BMS S&OP process needs to evolve globally from the supply-chain focus of demand-supply to a cross-functionally aligned and integrated process that consistently engages the key functions of Commercial Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and R&D. The newly formed Global S&OP business process owner role is essential to the develop and implement the business transformation program. The Director, Global S&OP Business Process Owner is the critical leadership role for this new function.
The Director, Global S&OP Business Process Owner is a senior-level position who has experience in leading implementations of S&OP globally as an integrated business planning process. This position will be accountable for all aspects of developing and managing the implementation of the global S&OP program to drive continuous improvement by leveraging best practices across all 5 stages of the S&OP Process – Demand/Forecast Review, Supply Review, Product/Project Portfolio Review, Integrated Reconciliation (S&OP) and Executive Review (eS&OP). This includes managing the global aggregation and facilitating meetings to assure business conflicts are raised and resolved during the pre-S&OP meetings, or referred to executive meeting for resolution, and providing training and feedback to the businesses and regions on process improvements that will impact business improvements. This position will have shared goals, business metrics and KPIs with the S&OP Leadership in all regions. These goals, business metrics and KPIs will be defined in the agreed-to global S&OP Process transformation roadmap.

This position will work directly with the executive S&OP teams (EVPs), Global S&OP teams (SVPs and VPs) and Supply, Forecast, and Strategy Teams (Exec Dir), coaching and assuring the right business topics are being raised and addressed through the business review processes.
