OVERVIEW:
The Global Service Partnerships Strategy & Delivery Senior Director oversees the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) supplier relationships for the Service Operations business groups of the Call, Claim and Client organizations. Duties of the role include working with Cigna Sourcing, Legal, IT and other matrix partners to develop outsource strategies and implement and manage them both domestically and offshore. This includes creating requirements, assisting in the development of request for proposals, execution of the strategy in partnership with the operations, assisting with contract development and negotiations, risk mitigation when there are misses in the partner sites and support of ongoing supplier management activities through a structured governance process. The director works with business and divisional management and their team(s), along with the enterprise leadership on all outsourcing initiatives and acts as a center of excellence for the broader organization.
This role will provide strategic leadership and expertise in partner management, governance and initiatives with major organizational impact around outsourcing. The director must meet business objectives in a high profile, rapidly evolving, and sometimes ambiguous and competitive environment.
This position is with Evernorth, a new business within the Cigna Corporation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILLS OF THE POSITION:
BUSINESS PROCESS OUTSOURCING (BPO) SOURCING:
This role is responsible for developing and managing the relationships with the Global Services Partners (GSP) in Service Operations. These activities are likely to be a mix of routine and non-routine initiatives with impact across the organization. The key expectations and responsibilities are the following:
- Drives competitive tension among GSP’s to ensure they deliver maximum value to the operations.
- Develops and is accountable for GSP contract compliance, performance measurement and reporting.
- In partnership with sourcing and the operational areas, defines GSP performance measures, guidelines and tracking processes to manage performance of GSP and implementation of new programs.
- Develops overall business requirements, GSP relationship structures and processes to improve performance and overall value.
- Working with sourcing to understand and analyzes industries, supply, markets, and sourcing best practices to define alternative supplier relationship structures to meet enterprise-wide requirements, manage costs, and maximize value.
- Develops timelines and organizes teams to implement GSP strategies and initiatives.
- Performs and oversees detailed financial analysis to determine best locations and partners for specified products and services required within the operations.
- Works with Sourcing to help prepare the negotiation team and develop negotiation strategies.
- Collaborates with GSP’s to gain acceptance of performance measurement programs; successfully manages change and manages performance improvement programs.
- Conducts performance reviews with GSP’s on a bi-weekly, quarterly and annual basis. Posts and distributes GSP performance measures across the enterprise.
- Coordinates senior level GSP site visits.
KEY COMPETENCIES AND ATTRIBUTES:

- Ten+ years in supplier management on the operations side.
- Management experience in a sourcing or vendor management role.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to interact credibly and persuasively with senior members of Cigna's management.

This role is WAH/Flex which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.
This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
