About Your Role:
The Global Retail Data & Analytics Manager is an influential leader, responsible formanaging the programmeroadmapwith our key customers,developingand managingproducts to deliver the vision.
Customer Developmentis a critical area of focus for Data & Analytics. In support of the CD strategy, our objective is to make the right decisions, faster than anyone else in the industry, to drive growth and competitive advantage throughout our end-to-end consumer experience, customer and store engagement, employee experience and optimization of our operations.
The needs ofcustomers, stores, distributors, shoppersandemployeesare changing, and we must support customer development in evolving to meet their needs through data and analytics:
Customers need… us to help them grow categories, drive penetration, frequency and basket size through promotion, assure on-shelf availability at the lowest possible cost, and grow their own margin through improved trade terms
Stores need… to be better served by us through direct reach, improved service quality, and support to create brilliant store experiences
Shoppers need… what they want, when they want it, available in their store of choice (off or online), with the right assortment aligned to the shopping mission they are on, activated based on a “segment of oneâ€
CD employees need… better data, better insights, better tools to do their jobs more effectively
Areas of Focus:
Building relationships withbusiness partnerandsenior stakeholders – including within customer development and markets, to align the top data and analytics pain points and priorities .
Act asproduct manager forCustomerDevelopment -organised retailsolutions, continuously enhancing and optimizing the solutions for performance, usability and value .
Secure funding for key projects/programs agreed as a part of the above strategy .
Manage end to end budget to meet financial targets .
Manage theend-to-endroadmapforOrganised Retailcapabilities, including technical delivery and change management/adoption.
Serves as design authority, prioritizing features, upgrades, changes and fixes.
Input intothe data and analytics innovation agenda forOrganised Retail.
About You:
The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded commercial and analytics professional. They will have a deep knowledge ofthevalue chain inUnilever, specifically in Customer Development, that is complemented by application of data, analytics,and emerging technologies required to deliver a world classcapability. Most importantly, the ideal candidate will enjoy rolling their sleeves up to drive towards outcomes.
Hands on data and analytics experience
Technical expertise to dissect data/analytics solutions and “know what good looks likeâ€
Demonstratedprogram management and delivery acumen
An experienced stakeholder engagement manager
Ability tobuild strong business partnerships and understandwhat data and insights solutions will best fit / meet their needs
Experience building business cases and owning delivery of the projects/programs
Innovative and interested in emerging capabilities, constantly looking for new technologies that can add value.
Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously in acomplex environment.
Ability to communicate complex analytic and data science solutions in a precise, and actionable manner.
