Job Description

Job Summary:

Intern will gain access and understanding of the inner workings of a wide variety of global publicity campaigns – from strategy to execution. The intern will work alongside team members on a broad spectrum of projects, from Marvel blockbusters to iconic comedies on Disney+ to D&I initiatives for newcomer filmmakers like Launchpad. We will be enlisting the intern’s help to collect publicity coverage, organize and edit talent schedules and assist with coordination of such massive cross-brand events as Celebration, Comic-Con and D23 Expo.

Responsibilities:

A day in the life…

Some of your projects with the publicity team may include:

  • Assembling coverage and putting together internal / filmmaker reports
  • Assisting with schedules and travel charts
  • Attending team meetings
  • Brainstorming on campaigns
  • Working with the team to coordinate conferences/junkets/tours/premieres

Basic Qualifications:

What you bring to the role…

  • Very knowledgeable in Powerpoint, Excel, Word
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong writing skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable in Keynote
  • Experience in publicity

Required Education

  • Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR graduated with in the last 6 months

  • All candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • All candidates must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program or graduated with in the last 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship.
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
  • All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session

Work Environment

  • This internship is both a remote and in-person internship.
  • The internship requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated work space.
  • All candidates must be available from May/June through August 2022.
  • All candidates must be available to work 40 hours per week.
  • All candidates must be able to work in the Burbank office and provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
