What you’ll achieve

As a Global Privacy by Design Program Manager, you will lead the Privacy by Design Program accountable for the strategy and operationalization of Privacy by Design across the enterprise in support of Dell’s Privacy Vision and privacy strategic priorities.  Reporting to Dell’s Chief Privacy Officer, you will infuse Privacy by Design in daily working practices and embed privacy into any new product, system or process when it is conceptualized, as it is being developed and implemented.  This will include ensuring that all business processes, projects, applications, systems, processes, offerings (e.g. products, services and technology solutions) and data exchanges are in accordance with Dell’s Code of Conduct, Privacy Policy, Procedures and Standards, applicable privacy laws and industry leading frameworks.

You will:

• Define the roadmap for Privacy by Design that includes establishing a vision, short term actions and operational maturity plan to drive Privacy by Design for all functions/business units, in privacy enhancing technologies (e.g. Privacy Impact Assessment, Data Protection Impact Assessment and Privacy Threshold Assessment) and privacy tools (e.g. Records of Processing).
• Partner with Privacy Operations team to enhance current Privacy by Design/Default controls and processes through automation.
• Showcase the importance of Privacy by Design to key stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Align with key stakeholders for support to embed Privacy by Design at every level.
• Establish and implement measures to track and report on Privacy by Design performance indicators at an enterprise level and for all functions/business units.
• Accelerate data minimization, data mapping and lineage efforts to provide input on privacy regulatory requirements (e.g. Article 25 of the GDPR) to key stakeholders.
• Develop Privacy by Design communication/training strategy and privacy tools for Privacy by Design Principles in accordance with industry leading frameworks (e.g. NIST privacy framework).
• Oversee and drive accountability for delivering against Dell Privacy Vision and privacy strategic priorities.
• Support change management activities and other duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements

• Juris Doctorate degree with 5+ years relevant experience
• Deep subject matter expertise on compliance with applicable privacy laws across different regions/jurisdictions, regulatory and industry Privacy by Design frameworks
• Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
• Outstanding working knowledge of change management principles

Desired Requirements

• Global privacy compliance program management experience is preferred
• IAPP CIPM or CIPT certification is a plus
• Solid understanding of technology industry
