Job Description
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as a Global Operations People Strategy, Senior Associate, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.
Role Purpose
To work closely with the People and Engagement Lead to design and deploy Global Operation’s People and Engagement strategy which aligns to business objectives, Global Operations strategy and HR priorities. The strategy will be a key enabler in driving the change required to make Global Operations best in class, focusing on the structure, leadership, skills and culture necessary to make this shift.
The role sits within the Global Operations Chief Operations Office (COO) team supporting the People, Engagement and Culture Agenda, the scope of the role covers Operations globally.
In this role, you will:
- Support the design, delivery and implementation of the Global People and Engagement Strategy across a complex matrix organization, including all Global Service Centres (GSCs)
- Develop relationships with Executive Committee (ExCo), Engagement and HR colleagues globally and within country as appropriate
- Consistently manage a balance between the business change initiatives and HR driven initiatives intended to grow engagement with a backdrop of industry pressures, changes in the economy and ongoing revenue and cost challenges
- Shifting Global Operations to be a leader in how we manage People and cultivate talent, whilst staying closely aligned to Bank Wide Operations Transformation (BWOT)
- Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks through Global Operations People and Engagement governance and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress
- Analyse relevant people data (HR metrics, Snapshot etc.) to form conclusions and influence future people strategy development
- Build dashboards to create a single view of people across Global Operations, taking data from range of sources to drive actionable insights and demonstrate where we have gaps in our People focus and influence ExCo, HR and People Leads to drive change
Requirements

- Access, mobilise and deploy HR and Business resources in support of global Operations People objectives
- Ensuring solutions are delivered professionally in line with HSBC values, meeting diverse cultural expectations and regional needs
- Uses professional judgement and personal credibility to challenge existing ways of working and have a positive impact on the function
- Use complex decision-making processes with rigorous and critical thinking to help internal customers make the right decisions

- Build on previous initiatives delivered across the function to ensure consistency
