Ingredion is hiring a Global Director, Product Line Management to embed a new capability into the global organization. She/he will focus on developing and executing life cycle design thinking with our Regional PLMs and bring together that value through strategic pricing at customers. In close collaboration with the multiple key operational and Go-To-Market (G2M) functions, they will provide direction, priorities, and co-ownership with the Regional SBT platforms to maximize global profitability. The Global Director will have two direct reports and functional responsibility for the Regional Product Line Managers. She/he will also be part of the Global Leadership Team for Starch-Based Texturizers.
As a Global Director, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and embedding a PLM process to optimize global profitability.
- Executing a PLM maturity roadmap that will provide a sustainable competitive advantage.
- Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of competitors operations, including cost benchmarking, and their G2M strategies, to enable informed decisions.
- Actively cannibalizing non-strategic and lower margin products and putting controls in place to prevent proliferation of new similar SKUs.
- Rationalizing, without commoditizing, the portfolios for targeted key customers.
- Measuring and managing financial performance through leading and lagging KPIs. The gap between price and cost should be maintained or increased to improve profitability.
- Increasing profit velocity through key assets to reduce product costs and improve cash flow.
- Managing product life cycles of key products and continuously upgrading to extend customer relevancy.
- Understanding price elasticity and providing guardrails to maintain regional competitiveness.
- Monitoring quality and service for the SBT product lines and working with key team members to anticipate and quickly resolve issues.
- Making product allocations and arbitration decisions with the global supply chain in a way that optimizes platform profitability while considering the long-term customer and strategic implications.
- Developing contingency and mitigation plans for key product lines in the event of source disruption.
- Continuously making recommendations on sourcing optimization and maximizing asset utilization to improve Return on Invested Capital (ROIC).
- Filling new capacity expansions and supporting the capital planning process to ensure future growth is not limited by supply.
- Mentoring and supporting direct reports to ensure they are successful and reach their potential. Co-managing with the Regional Platform Leaders career progression plans for the Regional Product Line Managers.

Qualified candidates will have:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and preferably with an MBA.
- 15+ year’s food or chemical industry experience with strong business and financial acumen.
- Expertise in Product Line Management
- Basic understanding of starch chemistries and benefits in different applications.
- Demonstrated success with Project Management Office or similar assignments.
- An understanding of the value “solutions†bring to customers and have the ability to fully assemble that value through competitive pricing.
- Analytic and data driven mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the confidence to conduct presentations to the Executive Leadership Teams and large groups.
- Extraordinary interpersonal skills and relationship building capabilities with an ability to be assertive and collaborative.
- Good judgment with ability to distill multiple permutations into simplified scenarios to facilitate fast and good decisions.
