Sunsilk aims to spread the joy of progress, as expressed by its purpose of ‘opening up possibilities for girls everywhere’. It does this through its powerful brand say, with its BCI ‘Hair too good to hold back’ and its brand do programs aiming to reach 150mio young women annually by 2030.
Sunsilk has >80% of its business coming from its core portfolio in each market. The brand is hugely core dependant and building a strong core roadmap across Ps’ with periodic massive brand level relaunches has always been integral to the brand’s growth and health.
This role has super critical scope and the Assistant Brand Manager will be responsible to support the largest project and platform on Sunsilk- Brand Relaunch (Project Solar) and an end to roadmap on Core platforms, across all Sunsilk markets globally. This brand relaunch is the single largest project in entire hair care and this initiative carries the majority iTO contribution for Sunsilk to ensure it carries a CAGR of 7%+ YoY. The successful candidate will report to a senior brand with the opportunity to lead strategic decisions directly with the Global brand director
Define the scope of the 2024 Brand relaunch across all Ps’ with clear strategic fit to brand and customised by market Make the Core Sexy again with a roadmap of future facing propositions on all core platforms customised for each market Craft complete visual identify for the relaunch mix by pushing the envelope on the design thinking Expand the strategy to include all platforms under Sunsilk with harmonised visual, functional and emotional unifier Lead the innovation and business case planning with respective cross functional and market teams
The role requires heavy stakeholder management (cross functional teams/Top 10 markets/category pillar leads/design agencies), Nuanced Mix crafting ability, an eye for design aesthetic and a structured approach to lead innovation networks and business cases.

In September 2020, Unilever announced the intention to build a new sustainable campus site in Kingston, London to house the employees who currently work in 100 Victoria Embankment in Blackfriars, Lever House in Kingston, Unilever House in Leatherhead and Graze in Richmond. We are creating our own Unilever sustainable, agile work environment, purposefully bringing us together in our own Unilever ecosystem. The campus is due to be completed in December 2023 and will consist of two interconnected buildings, as well as landscaped surrounding areas.
Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money.
In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.
How is Unilever tackling this?
Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
